OMISSION: Network Newscasts IGNORE Venezuelan Spy Chief’s Shocking Allocution

December 5th, 2025 2:03 AM

You may or may not know at this time that Hugo “El Pollo (The Chicken)” Carvajal, former head of Venezuela’s General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (DGCIM) is currently in federal prison awaiting sentencing for drug trafficking charges. If you depend on the Elitist Media for news coverage, you DEFINITELY don’t know that he just published a bombshell allocution that lays out the Maduro regime’s long campaign against the United States.

Carvajal’s open letter to President Donald Trump was published in The Dallas Express and picked up by other outlets. Per DX :

The Dallas Express has obtained an explosive letter addressed to President Donald Trump from Hugo Carvajal Barrios — the former Director of Military Intelligence for Venezuela and once one of the most powerful figures inside the governments of Hugo Chávez and Nicolás Maduro.

The letter, shared exclusively with DX by Carvajal’s attorney, Robert Feitel — a former senior Justice Department prosecutor — marks the first time the retired Major General has put these warnings on the record since pleading guilty earlier this year in a U.S. federal narco-terrorism case.

Carvajal — extradited from Spain after a lengthy international manhunt — says he is writing “to atone” and to alert Americans to what he describes as a coordinated, state-directed campaign targeting the United States.

The letter lays out the different ways in which the Chavista regime, under auspices of the Cuban dictatorship, set out to flood the United States with drugs, illegal immigrant criminals, and spies, while threatening the nation’s election integrity. And you’d think that the contents of this letter are important to know in the midst of an ongoing military operation in the southern Caribbean.

Carvajal states he was present at the inception of the Cartel of the Suns, created at the behest of the Cuban regime (truly the head of the snake in our hemisphere) for the purpose of weaponizing drugs against the United States. He writes:

The drugs that reached your cities through new routes were not accidents of corruption nor just the work of independent traffickers; they were deliberate policies coordinated by the Venezuelan regime against the United States.

This plan was suggested by the Cuban regime to Chávez in the mid-2000s and has been successfully executed with help from FARC, ELN, Cuban operatives, and Hezbollah. The regime has provided weapons, passports, and impunity for these terrorist organizations to operate freely from Venezuela against the United States.

Of the ultraviolent Tren de Aragua gang, which was pretty much allowed to run amuck while the Biden Regime Media looked the other way, Carvajal says:

The drugs that reached your cities through new routes were not accidents of corruption nor just the work of independent traffickers; they were deliberate policies coordinated by the Venezuelan regime against the United States.

This plan was suggested by the Cuban regime to Chávez in the mid-2000s and has been successfully executed with help from FARC, ELN, Cuban operatives, and Hezbollah. The regime has provided weapons, passports, and impunity for these terrorist organizations to operate freely from Venezuela against the United States.

Carvajal goes on to talk about espionage and election integrity operations against the United States, in terrifying scope and detail. This information isn’t new to those of us who follow what happens in the hemisphere. We’ve known that Cuba is who actually pulls the strings in Caracas and elsewhere. We knew all along that Maduro emptied out the prisons when he saw that Joe Biden opened the border. We’ve known that Iranian proxy Hezbollah has operated on Margarita Island for close to two decades. And that all of this has led to what is currently happening in the Caribbean. But it is nonetheless shocking to see this all laid out by someone who knows where all the bodies are buried on the other side.

Not a second was devoted to Carvajal’s letter on the primary broadcast network newscasts. Not surprisingly, Univision and Telemundo reported the letter, but even then only aired brief blurbs and not on the evening news (click “expand” to view transcripts).

SATCHA PRETTO: And reactions are pouring in to the public letter from Venezuela's former military intelligence chief, Hugo Carvajal, to President Donald Trump. In the letter, Carvajal, also known as "El Pollo" (The Chicken), reveals that it is true that Nicolás Maduro's regime has transformed Venezuela into a narco-terrorist organization that uses cocaine as a weapon and collaborates with groups such as the FARC (the Marxist Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia), the ELN (Colombia’s Marxist National Liberation Army), Cuban intelligence, and Hezbollah. He also states that it has infiltrated U.S. institutions for two decades and facilitated the expansion of criminal networks like the Tren de Aragua. The former Venezuelan general pleaded guilty this year in a U.S. federal court to narco-terrorism charges.

NICOLE SUÁREZ: Well, the Dallas Express obtained a copy of the letter that Hugo "El Pollo" Carvajal sent to President Trump, in which he discusses the so-called Cartel of the Suns. Look, part of what he wrote was, "I was a personal witness." The purpose of this organization, now known as the Cartel of the Suns, is to use drugs as a weapon against the United States. According to that letter, the idea of using the cartel to flood the United States with cocaine came from the Cuban regime. Carvajal was head of intelligence and counterintelligence for Chávez and Maduro. Carvajal is awaiting sentencing in a federal prison after pleading guilty to drug trafficking.

In a sane world, Carvajal’s letter would make the A-block at ABC, CBS, NBC and elsewhere. But the legacy outlets are preoccupied with the War Crimes Hoax and the broader “Don’t Give Up the Ship” influence operation intended to undermine confidence in the military and depict President Donald Trump as an enemy of the nation.
