Following the FBI raid on former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Florida, with agents swarming, guns drawn, Morning Joe took to the air the next day to, incredibly, say the critics of the raid are “fascists.” Scarborough added of the raid’s critics: “And so they’re making fascist threats. And we need to do what the United States has always done. We need to confront fascism and defeat it.”
There is the FBI….the self-same organization that pushed the Trump-Russia collusion lie. The self-same organization that had peddled the phony “dossier” story. The very organization that was home to agents (Peter Strzok and Lisa Page anyone?) plotting how to use their agency as “insurance” that Trump would not be elected in 2016.
The organization once run by the corrupt James Comey and Andrew McCabe. Now, the FBI raids the private residence of a former President of the United States — and Joe Scarborough calls the critics of this the fascists?
Really? Really?
What Joe Scarborough is defending with this FBI raid is what long-ago Soviet state security chief Felix Dzerzhinsky lovingly described as using “the iron fist of the dictatorship of the proletariat to smite its foe.” This is truly the stuff of banana republics, with the Attorney General authorizing a raid on the home of his boss President Biden’s last and potentially next election opponent.
The hard fact of political life in America is that the American Left has repeatedly demonstrated its lust for absolute power and the hard use of that power.
It is safe to say that the raid on Mar-a-Lago was the inevitable follow-up to what Dinesh D’Souza wrote in The Daily Signal back in 2017 as the “bullying and terrorizing of conservatives on campus, the shaming of Republicans in the media, the defilement of the American flag,(and) the disruption of Trump rallies.”
Note the line about “the shaming of Republicans in the media?” By dropping out of the GOP and running a far Left morning show that praises Democrats, Joe Scarborough escapes “the shaming of Republicans in the media.”
Then there’s Joe’s laughable chutzpah in saying this: “In America, even in the age of Trump, no man is above the law.”
Apparently Joe has never heard of Hunter Biden, Jim Biden, Joe Biden or Hillary Clinton. Every one of whom should be investigated by the FBI but are not because, well, you know, they are in the right political party.
Infamously the FBI had possession of the explosive Hunter Biden laptop and — did nothing. In an appearance on the Fox News show Sunday Morning Futures with host Maria Bartiromo, Republican Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson put it this way:
“Why did they (the FBI) sit on it? Are they covering up just because Hunter Biden might be engaged in things that also maybe should have been investigated and possibly prosecuted? Do we have two systems of justice: one for Democrats and one for Republicans? One for the well-connected versus one for the rest of the Americans?”
The answer to the Senator’s question is quite obviously yes - there are “two-systems of justice: one for Democrats and one for Republicans.”
That and the fact that the FBI has not raided Hunter Biden’s home, or the Joe Biden White House or his home in Delaware, or that of the other Biden family members involved in all this, not to mention they have not invaded Hillary Clinton’s home says everything Joe Scarborough should recognize as the left's hideous double standard.
But instead of calling all of this out, Joe Scarborough is busy defending it.
