If a Democrat had proposed giving every American $5,000, the liberal, elitist media would be heralding it as a stroke of genius, not panning it like they did Wednesday and Thursday after President Trump raised the specter of it at night one of the GOP midterm convention.
NewsBusters Associate Editor Nick Fondacaro and I broke down the highlights and lowlights before covering a fascinating study on CBS’s 60 Minutes before Sunday’s season premiere.
Along with his fellow summer 2026 interns, now-NewsBusters news analyst Nick Spinnato painstakingly chronicled and labeled every report on 60 Minutes over the last six seasons (starting September 2020) and, after sorting out the political stories, found 78 were presented with liberal framing whereas only 16 had conservative, right-of-center framing.
From there, we also marked a year since Charlie Kirk’s assassination, and 25 years since 9/11. Five years ago, Nick and I spoke emotionally and extensively on the NewsBusters Podcast (listen here) about our recollections of that horrible September day prior to the 20th anniversary. We then closed by lampooning both a new CNN-led smear against GunTuber Brandon Herrera and how ABC’s The View has already been causing trouble for parent company Disney.
