MRC President David Bozell told Newsmax host Chris Salcedo on Thursday that President Donald Trump deserves "kudos for inviting real journalists to the White House," to talk about the threat Antifa poses to our cities. Trump was welcomed cabinet members, independent journalists and other administration officials to a "listening session" to discuss the radical left-wing group, which the president recently designated a domestic terrorist organization.
"These journalists put their lives on the line to cover this story that members of the legacy press refused to cover," Bozell said. "Donald Trump has designated Antifa a terrorist organization largely because of the reporting done by people in that room. The main stream media was typically dismissive of the people at that table. Erin Burnett of CNN said, 'Antifa violence is rare and limited.' A silly comment from an oftentimes silly network."
Bozell also weighed in on the growing controversy over the Super Bowl's halftime show which is set to feature Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny. Bozell noted that Turning Point USA is promoting its own halftime show, which Bozell hopes will be an "awesome counter display of American heritage, patriotism, freedom, and family - all the things the Turning Point USA and the conservative movement have been striving for all these years."
