Fox News turned 30 on Wednesday, and one person who was not in a celebratory mood was ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel. Lacking any self-awareness, Kimmel marked the occasion by claiming Fox has “ruined everything” and claimed its business model is to simply get old people mad.
Kimmel also found the need to place the race card, “Fox News turned 30 years old today, and what do you get for the network that ruined everything? Fox News launched on October 7th, 1996, as a sort of a BET for angry white grandpas.”

According to Kimmel, it is Fox News’s fault if you are experiencing family difficulties, “Three decades ago, a visionary named Rupert Murdoch asked a simple question. He asked, “What if the news was whatever I want it to be?” And with nothing more than millions of dollars and a complete disregard for the America, in which he wasn't born, he turned that idea into what has become the number one reason you can't talk to your dad anymore.”
After a clip of Steve Doocy promoting some collector wines, Kimmel retorted, “That's right. Take it from Steve Doocy. You will never find whiter wine than this.”
Kimmel also claimed, “We are so fortunate to have Fox. Long before Newsmax, long before Real America's Voice, and the Right Side Broadcasting Network, Fox News was there, planting the seeds of division. Making sure our old people get mad and stay mad, and whether it's an ad for a reverse mortgage or a catheter or a walk-in tub, Fox News is there.”
All this concern about making people mad or spreading fake news is odd from the guy who just the day before falsely claimed President Trump wants Iran to kill 13 million Americans. Last week, he invited Sen. Bernie Sanders on to say people need to vote Democrat because Republicans are killing people with their health care policies. He has attacked DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin for previously being a plumber and hyped the idea that Trump is a “racist sexist Nazi POTUS.”
Then there is The Big One: Kimmel’s remarks about Charlie Kirk’s assassin and subsequent suspension. If Bill Maher is to be believed, Kimmel has ended their friendship over Maher rebuking writer/producer/wife Molly McNearney for claiming she cut off some family members over Trump’s alleged role in his suspension. Kimmel and McNearney have on multiple occasions recalled falsely telling their children that Trump was responsible for the suspension.
The actual remarks that "we hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it” showed such a shameful disregard for the facts surrounding the assassination and its aftermath that even ABC felt the need temporarily remove the show from the air.

JIMMY KIMMEL: Fox News turned 30 years old today, and what do you get for the network that ruined everything? Fox News launched on October 7th, 1996, as a sort of a BET for angry white grandpas. Three decades ago, a visionary named Rupert Murdoch asked a simple question. He asked, “What if the news was whatever I want it to be?” And with nothing more than millions of dollars and a complete disregard for the America, in which he wasn't born, he turned that idea into what has become the number one reason you can't talk to your dad anymore.
STEVE DOOCY: For 30 years, you welcomed us into your home. Now here's something for your table. Two limited edition collectors wines for our 30th anniversary. Get 'em now before they sell out!
KIMMEL: That's right. Take it from Steve Doocy. You will never find whiter wine than this. I'm going to say something. We are so fortunate to have Fox. Long before Newsmax, long before Real America's Voice, and the Right Side Broadcasting Network, Fox News was there, planting the seeds of division. Making sure our old people get mad and stay mad, and whether it's an ad for a reverse mortgage or a catheter or a walk-in tub, Fox News is there.
