Asking the Question: What ARE ABC's Editorial Standards?

In the world of the corrupt liberal media, there are seldom conspiracies from within that come as a surprise to the public. However, the latest news regarding ABC’s involvement in burying the Epstein story was enough to shock even the most seasoned media experts. Fox’s Jesse Watters highlighted the cover-up on Saturday’s Watters’ World.

Watters’ opened his monologue with a scathing analysis of the state of media in America while praising Project Veritas for bringing the story to light:

Protecting pedophiles from politics. That's the subject of tonight's Watters’ words. There's something very wicked that is happening in America. There's a major media blackout on Jeffrey Epstein and we all know why. The whole thing is starting to make me feel sick to my stomach.... Video of ABC anchor, Amy Robach, dishing that she had the goods on Epstein, even a Clinton connection, but the network shut it down.

Following the damaging clip of ABC’s Amy Robach spilling the beans on her network, Watters’ read aloud her official reaction to the video:

Robach released a statement, "As a journalist, as the Epstein story continued to unfold last summer, I was caught in a private moment of frustration. I was upset that an important interview I had conducted with Virginia Roberts didn't air because we could not obtain sufficient corroborating evidence to meet ABC's editorial standards about her allegations. In the years since no one has ever told me or team to stop reporting on Jeffrey Epstein."

Watters’ then asked the question most viewers at home were thinking to themselves:

The statement reads like she had a gun to her head. ABC had victims and witnesses on the record. Photographic evidence fingering Epstein, fingering the British royal family with a Bill Clinton angle. And that didn't meet ABC editorial standards? What the hell are ABC's editorial standards?...

To expound upon the lack of journalistic integrity ABC has exhibited over the past three years, Watters’ offered a refresher of the station’s past botched reporting:

ABC smeared Kavanaugh with 40-year-old hearsay. No corroborating witnesses, no evidence, no pictures, nothing. ABC ran stories furnished by Michael Avenatti, a disgraced bankrupt tax- evading partisan porn star attorney. Claiming Kavanaugh was involved with gang rape. How did all of that pass ABC's standards? ABC World News Tonight just ran fake Syrian war footage to damage President Trump. But it turned out to be Youtube video from a Kentucky gun range.

It seems as though of many in the media want to protect Democrats at all costs while destroying Republicans in the same breath. A sentiment supported by the remainder of Watters' monologue:

ABC News has pushed hoax after hoax after hoax with no evidence for years. Phony Trump Russia collusion, Smollett, Covington boys. We all know ABC's editorial standards rise and fall depending on who the story hurts... But three years ago who did the Epstein story really hurt? The Clintons. In 2016, Hillary was running for President. She was expected to win. An ABC News Epstein bombshell would have exploded all over the campaign. And ABC didn't want to hurt the future President. Apparently the network wanted to maintain a friendly relationship.https://cdn.newsbusters.org/images/

A mainstream news network failing to report the actual news? Sadly, this is not a shocking state of affairs in today’s press.

JESSE WATTERS: Protecting pedophiles from politics. That's the subject of tonight's Watters’ words. There's something very wicked that is happening in America. There's a major media blackout on Jeffrey Epstein and we all know why. The whole thing is starting to make me feel sick to my stomach. Now, I'm not going to let this story go, "Watters World" is going to pursue it as far as we can. Project Veritas blew it wide open this week and they deserve a ton of credit. This was their best work to date. Video of ABC anchor, Amy Robach, dishing that she had the goods on Epstein, even a Clinton connection, but the network shut it down.

WATTERS: It is so sad. In the years since no one has ever told me or team to stop reporting on Jeffrey Epstein." The statement reads like she had a gun to her head. ABC had victims and witnesses on the record. Photographic evidence fingering Epstein, fingering the British royal family with a Bill Clinton angle. And that didn't meet ABC editorial standards? What the hell are ABC's editorial standards? ABC smeared Kavanaugh with 40-year-old hearsay. No corroborating witnesses, no evidence, no pictures, nothing. ABC ran stories furnished by Michael Avenatti, a disgraced bankrupt tax- evading partisan porn star attorney. Claiming Kavanaugh was involved with gang rape. How did all of that pass ABC's standards? ABC World News Tonight just ran fake Syrian war footage to damage President Trump. But it turned out to be Youtube video from a Kentucky gun range. Apparently the network wanted to maintain a friendly relationship.

WATTERS: CBS even fired one of their own employees who'd come from ABC who they thought was the leaker. Now more on that in a little bit. You see what's happening here? The media wants to protect the Trump whistle-blower, but tries to fire the Epstein whistle-blower. Now, the media in America has gone completely mad. And you and I are not going to let them get away with it.
