Humorless Telemundo Slams Trump Over Farm Bill Tweet

Another sure-fire sign of Trump Derangement Syndrome is when media outlets cannot even let a clever, humorous expression by the President go by without somehow finding a way to badmouth it or cast it in a negative light.

That is just what happened on Telemundo where, sure enough, anchor José Díaz-Balart cast the President’s playful reprise of his rendition of the “Green Acres” theme song at the 2006 Emmy Awards, in advance of his signing of the Farm Bill, as somehow being inappropriate, in addition to being an act that generated “repudiation” on social media:

JOSE DIAZ-BALART, NEWS ANCHOR, TELEMUNDO: President Trump made time to joke and publish on Twitter this video that provoked the repudiation of many on social media.

DONALD TRUMP: Green Acres is the place to be. Farm living is the life for me.

JOSE DIAZ-BALART: There you see him dressed up as a country person, in a musical number from the 2016 Emmys

The anchor of NBC’s Spanish-language sister television network also got the date of Trump’s performance at the Emmy Awards wrong.

Below is the transcript of the complete above-referenced segment, as broadcast during the December 20, 2018 edition of Noticias Telemundo:
