CENSORED! Facebook Flags Alliance Defending Freedom, SBA Pro-Life America for Pro-Life Vid

Anti-free speech Facebook censored Alliance Defending Freedom and Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America for a video explaining a lawsuit against the FDA about abortion pill drugs Mifepristone and Misoprostol.

Facebook flagged a video created by Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), a legal organization currently embattled in a lawsuit against the Food and Drug Administration over the dangers of abortion pill drugs. Facebook relied on PolitiFact, a leftist fact-checker owned by an elitist journalism group — Poynter Institute for Media Studies — which is funded by billionaire George Soros.

The platform slapped a warning on the post, claiming it contained “partly false information” and that “Independent fact-checkers say this information has some factual inaccuracies.” Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America (SBA) later posted a link to the same video which was also censored, having the same fact-check applied to it.

Facebook reportedly told The Associated Press in April 2020 that users fail to click through fact-check interstitials 95 percent of the time, meaning fact-checked posts are severely suppressed.

PolitiFact’s so-called fact-check complained that the video cited a Finland-based study that “found that about 20% who took medication abortion said they experienced adverse events” and downplays the study’s findings.

“Researchers reported that about 20% of the women who took medication for their abortions experienced what the paper described as adverse events or complications, with hemorrhage making up the lion’s share at 15.6%,” PolitiFact admitted. “But experts said there’s a glaring issue with hemorrhages it classified as ‘complications.’ These situations were defined in the study as excessive bleeding that involved clinician consultation, and the paper doesn’t say whether they required medical interventions or blood transfusions.”

Yes, unfortunately, PolitiFact is for real.

So who exactly are these so-called experts downplaying hemorrhaging?

The leading “expert” that the allegedly independent Facebook fact-checker used in an attempt to debunk ADF’s video was University of California San Francisco professor Dr. Daniel Grossman. He also just so happens to be “behind clinical trials to expand abortion via pharmacy dispensing and mail order dispensing of the abortion pill, outside the FDA’s safeguards (REMS),” according to pro-life activist group Live Action. It’s the disregard of those very safeguards that ADF is fighting in court right now.

An SBA spokesperson called out the fatal flaw of the fact-check that Facebook relied on to censor the video. “FACT CHECK: An abortionist with ties to abortion pill manufacturers is not an ‘independent fact checker,’ @PolitiFact,” SBA tweeted. “@facebook is AGAIN relying on biased ‘fact-checkers’ as an excuse to censor pro-life Americans.”

Facebook’s star fact-checker also cited The New York Times which allegedly tried to show that more than 100 studies claimed the abortion pills are safe. However, according to the Charlotte Lozier Institute, both The Times and PolitiFact failed to list which studies made the claims and who funded those studies. And neither addressed any counter studies that have come to the opposite conclusions and support that many women will experience a complication from Mifepristone and Misoprostol.

Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America and Live Action are both members of the Free Speech Alliance.
