ABC Reports on Travel Ban Protesters, Instead Shows Abortion Activists

ABC didn’t report on the Supreme Court abortion case Wednesday morning. But the network did air footage of abortion protesters – misidentifying them as travel ban protesters.

On Wednesday, Good Morning America fill-in co-anchor Cecilia Vega reported on the “fallout” after justices “upheld President Trump's travel ban” that affects “travelers from several Muslim-majority countries.” She pointed to the “protesters there, outside the Supreme Court steps.” There were protesters – but they weren’t protesting on the travel ban.

Instead, the protesters ABC showed were there for the Supreme Court’s decision on a case regarding free speech and abortion: NIFLA v. Becerra.

Wearing purple shirts and holding signs reading “End the Lies,” the protesters came from NARAL Pro-Choice America, who opposed the Supreme Court’s decision to side with pro-life pregnancy centers.

Students for Life of America, a pro-life group that celebrated the case, captured the same protesters up-close on video.
