When it comes to defending America’s largest abortion provider, Hollywood celebrities are appearing rather unoriginal.
In a series of tweets leading up to and following the U.S. House vote to pass the American Health Care Act (AHCA) Thursday, celebrities from Katy Perry to Amy Schumer worried about the new legislation redirecting funding from Planned Parenthood. But, instead of sparing a couple of seconds to personalize their own tweets for an organization they claim to so ardently admire, they appeared to follow a Planned Parenthood script.
Many of the stars tweeted the same message about Planned Parenthood – down to the very words.
Immediately after the vote, 30 celebrities raced to defend Planned Planned to their more than 120 million (combined) followers. The stars merely echoed each other with variations of the same message: “ALERT House just voted to repeal the ACA & "defund" @PPFA. Call your Senators to stop the bill→ http://istandwithpp.org/call #IStandWithPP.”
