WikiLeaks: Dem Strategist Compares Planned Parenthood, Benghazi Scandals

There are plenty of Planned Parenthood mentions in the latest WikiLeaks release, but the liberal media aren’t talking about it.

According to an email chain released by WikiLeaks, Democratic strategist Gina Glantz allegedly compared Hillary Clinton’s Benghazi testimony to Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards’ congressional hearing last year, when she defended her organization following the release of undercover videos exposing her organization’s harvesting of aborted baby parts. Because of their “similar” experiences, Glantz asked for Clinton to publicly offer her support to Richards.

According to documents released by WikiLeaks, Glantz sent out an email September 29, 2015, with the subject line, “Writing to you all hoping someone will suggest that Hillary call Cecile Richards tonight."

Earlier that day, Richards had testified at a congressional hearing on the undercover videos released by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP). (Ironically, the networks aired more footage from that hearing than they did the actual CMP videos.)

“Good for HRC politics and Cecile,” Glantz praised in the email. “Now Cecile knows what it feels like to be Hillary in front of the Benghazi committee.”

Glantz also suggested that Clinton show her support for Richards following the event. “[W]ould be a great tweet from HRC that she spoke to Cecile. Also just a nice thing to do,” Glantz said, emphasizing that Richards “stood up so well” to the “grilling.” (Language the media also used.)

The email landed in the inboxes of several working on Clinton’s campaign, according to WikiLeaks' document. Mandy Grunwald, a Clinton team advisor, reacted positively. “We always want your advice,” she responded to Glantz. “I will pass on to those who might make this happen.”

WikiLeaks showed that Clinton’s former chief of staff, Tamera Luzzatto, forwarded Glantz’s message to “ha16@hillaryclinton.com,” or Clinton aide Huma Abedin. “Am sure Mandy passed this on,” Luzzatto wrote to Abedin. “Was just on the Hill and they said Cecile was spectacular up against a nonstop assault. Xox to all.”

Abedin responded to Luzzatto, “she did and we really like the idea.”

Clinton tweeted in support of Planned Parenthood multiple times that day, but didn’t mention a call with Richards.

As pro-life news sites have documented, Glantz boasts strong ties to the abortion industry and formerly served as the chairwoman for Planned Parenthood Action Fund. She currently sits on the board of Demos, a nonprofit funded by abortion-friendly billionaire George Soros (who has other connections in the WikiLeaks scandal). Glantz also heads feminist organization GenderAvenger.
