Hollywood, Dem Twitter Panic: ‘People Will Die from New Trumpcare’

Hollywood has priorities: hate on Trump, stay politically relevant, and look good. If the most liberal of the elite are freaking out, something good must be happening.

So it should come as no surprise that while the GOP tries to push Obamacare Repeal, Tinseltown’s brightest come to the rescue with some interesting tweets to protest. Jim Carrey shared a picture of a hurricane swirling around Republican Congressmen, with the caption, “While another storm heads r way, craven republican sock puppets in service of shameless greed, try AGAIN 2 ravage healthcare. #sickening.”

Democratic Coalition Against Trump chairman Jon Cooper tweeted, “You maniacs! You voted to blow it up! Damn you. God damn you all to hell.” He tagged Senator Lindsey Graham and Bill Kassidy in his tweet, retweeting the rant three times.

Singer Cher tweeted, “NEW “TRUMPCARE BILL” IS WORSE THAN LAST ONE, VOTED DOWN BY GOP!! PEOPLE WILL DIE FROM NEW TRUMPCARE, & TRUMP WILL OWN IT. WILL HE KILL 4 A WIN.”

George Takei and Alyssa Milano tweeted out begging their followers to call their congressional representatives to ask them to vote no. Sarah Silverman called the GOP “fucking money grubbing assholes.” President of Planned Parenthood Cecile Richards called the repeal “another extremist effort to rip care from millions - and its dangerous.” It’s not dangerous to the unborn, unlike Planned Parenthood.

Fifth Harmony’s Lauren Jauregui pleaded with her followers on Instagram, “We are alive now, we have a responsibility to pay attention to what the hell the government is doing with our money and what they intend to do right now with the right to our HEALTH. They have industrialized your health, my health, and the health of millions of Americans. Do we understand what that means? It means we don't have control of our own bodies and our right to be ALIVE which is the only reason we're on this damn planet. Let's wake up pleeeeeease.”

Transgender actor Laverne Cox wrote that the repeal would “jeopardize pre-existing condition protections.”
