Herschel Walker Doubles-Down on Trump, Amidst Criticism

ESPN’s Bomani Jones thinks that Donald Trump’s supporters are people who merely “revel in their whiteness.” Which should make for totes awesome television the next time Bomani interviews former Heisman winning running back Hershel Walker aka “the reveling whitey” on the air.

Walker is a proud Trump supporter and won’t stop supporting Trump despite all the criticism he’s faced. Walker explains it this way:

“We have to do what’s right to save America,” Walker said Monday in reaffirming his support for Trump. “I guarantee you (Donald) would do better than a lot of people in office now. That I can tell you for a fact.”

Walker said Trump’s popularity, despite recent high-profile controversies, proves Trump is the leader Americans want.

“Donald has said what he’s said, but his numbers haven’t gone down,” Walker said. “That’s a sign he is saying the things that people think, but are afraid to say themselves. Donald is saying what people want to hear.”

“We do have to get this country safe. We have to quit being politically correct,” Walker insisted.

Walker and Trump first connected back in the 1980s, when Trump owned the New Jersey Generals of the now-defunct USFL. Walker respected Trump’s efforts to turn around a team that had a losing season.

“(Trump) wanted to win and he was prepared to go out and do whatever it took to win,” said Walker. “He was a guy that always did what he said he was going to do.”

I wish Herschel Walker would stop reveling in his whiteness like this. It truly is getting out of hand.
