Even though it spreads hate and incites violence on a nightly basis, late-night host Jimmy Kimmel’s hateful rhetoric attacking her family is supported and protected by ABC, and that needs to stop, First Lady Melania Trump said Monday following Saturday’s assassination attempt at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner.
Thursday, in a foreboding “comedy” skit about the upcoming dinner, Kimmel joked about assassination of President Donald Trump:
“Our First Lady Melania is here. Look at Mel, so beautiful.
“Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow.”

“[A]t what point does The Walt Disney Corporation address its role in fomenting the current climate of political violence?” NewsBusters asked Sunday reporting on Kimmel’s “joke”:
“If the backlash to his crass comments following the assassination of Charlie Kirk is any indication, it may reward him instead.”
“Standing by for Kimmel to suggest that the shooter was MAGA,” Media Research Center (MRC) President David Bozell wrote in a X.com post Sunday, alluding to Kimmel’s attempt to link the Make America Great Again (MAGA) to conservative leader Kirk’s assassination last September.
“Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country” and feeds the nation’s violent “political sickness,” Melania Trump wrote Monday on X.com:
“Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn’t comedy- his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America.”
Kimmel is a coward who knows he can make his destructive comments because know ABC will protect him, the First Lady wrote.
“It is time for ABC to take a stand” and stop giving Kimmel a platform to attack her family, Mrs. Trump said:
“People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate.
“A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him. Enough is enough. It is time for ABC to take a stand.”
The First Lady went on to ask how many times ABC’s leadership will continue to enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of the nation.
