On multiple occasions throughout Thursday’s Hardball on MSNBC, liberal host Chris Matthews made his feelings clear that he was livid at the Obama administration over revelations hours earlier that they indeed waited to give Iran $400 million that they claimed to have been repayment for money frozen during the 1979 revolution until four American hostages had left Iran. 

Giving proper coverage to the heartbreaking and tear-jerking scene out of Aleppo, Syria with a bloody and dusty young boy sitting in an ambulance, MSNBC/NBC’s Andrea Mitchell devoted a full segment to the matter on Thursday afternoon but of course made no mention of President Barack Obama or his administration’s inaction in Syria to dispose of the Assad regime or ISIS in the over five years since…

A new MSNBC ad touts the hosts of Morning Joe as tough “firebrands” and “disrupters” who stand up to people like Donald Trump. Yet, it was Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski who repeatedly fawned over Trump during the primaries and only turned on him once it became obvious he would be the nominee. 

It’s now been 258 days since Hillary Clinton last had a press conference. ABC and NBC on Thursday continued to yawn about this fact, but CBS This Morning actually raised the subject. Reporter Nancy Cordes also highlighted the fact that Tim Kaine previously slammed Bill Clinton for his affair with Monica Lewinsky. 

It’s often noted that Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are the most disliked presidential nominees in a long, long time. The New York Times did its part for the Hillary Clinton campaign (and President Obama’s legacy) in Thursday’s edition, offering happy talk about lost coal jobs in Kentucky, skipping over some inconvenient facts that would cloud the pro-Democratic narrative, while another story bashing Donald Trump’s tax plan passed up a golden opportunity to revive Clinton’s infamous “dead broke” comment.

Always one of the more egregious liberal pundits in dismissing Clinton scandals, MSNBC’s Joy Reid filled in for Chris Hayes on Wednesday’s All In and sought to imply that since Breitbart News chief executive and now Trump campaign chief executive Steve Bannon helped fund the organization that allowed Peter Schweizer to write Clinton Cash, the book’s claims are not just “false” but reckless. 

The new chief executive of the Donald Trump campaign owns a stake in Seinfeld royalties, a fact that naturally was used to make fun of Stephen Bannon on MSNBC. With All Due Respect co-host Mark Halperin admitted that “we jumped at the chance to combine Seinfeld” and Trump. The journalist then played an extended montage of reporters making fun of Bannon and clips of the comedy classic. 

On Wednesday, the Morning Joe crew erupted over the revelation that notes from Hillary Clinton’s interviews with the FBI are being given to a congressional committee for review. Sold as a philosophical fact-check, it comes off as an excuse to sneak yet more liberal opinion into the paper under the guise of offering an elevated perspective on current events. NBC Chairman Bob Greenblatt slammed presidential candidate Donald Trump, calling him "toxic" and "demented," after his network spend more than a decade building his image. In a Facebook post he later deleted, Greenblatt lamented the “sad state of affairs” created by “pompous businessman turned reality TV star” Donald Trump. 

Kellyanne Conway on Wednesday became the first female to ever run a Republican presidential campaign. But the networks did not excitedly tout this as progress, instead they glossed over this point. On ABC’s Good Morning America, reporter Tom Llamas blandly explained, “Overnight, Donald Trump shaking up his campaign promoting pollster Kellyanne Conway to campaign manager.” 

In a recent interview with CNN senior political correspondent Manu Raju, New Hampshire Governor and Democratic Senate candidate Maggie Hassan repeatedly dodged questions about whether Hillary Clinton was “honest” and refused to vouch for Clinton’s credibility. Despite the embarrassing exchange making news on cable, the broadcast networks of NBC, ABC, and CBS all ignored the story.

During an exclusive interview aired on Wednesday’s NBC Today, Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine struggled to respond to Hillary Clinton’s ongoing e-mail scandal as co-host Savannah Guthrie actually grilled him on the topic.
