Florida: America's Jihad Playground
June 16th, 2016 3:15 PM
The home of the "Happiest Place on Earth" has been breeding killer jihadists and Muslim zealots for years. Omar Mateen, the cold-blooded mass murderer who gunned down 49 people at an Orlando gay nightclub and wounded 53 more before police took him out late Sunday, may have worked alone. But he operated in the larger context of a teeming, terror-coddling paradise.
Money Going to Washington
June 15th, 2016 11:46 AM
According to a New York Post article (May 22, 2016), in just two years, Hillary Clinton -- former first lady, senator from New York and secretary of state -- collected over $21 million in speaking fees. These fees were paid by Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, Fidelity Investments, UBS, Bank of America and several hedge fund companies.
No, President Obama, Americans Don't Need to Examine Themselves
June 15th, 2016 11:43 AM
President Obama's predictable reaction to the latest heinous, unprovoked terrorist massacre of innocent citizens on American soil would be embarrassing if it weren't so disgraceful. This man's term can't end quickly enough. There is just no excuse for Obama's warped moral compass -- the way he excuses the culpable. And his judgments are not happening in a vacuum; they are guiding his policies,…
Needed: A declaration of war
June 15th, 2016 11:38 AM
Credit President Obama for finally using the words he has desperately tried to avoid during his presidency. He correctly called the mass shooting in an Orlando gay nightclub Sunday morning, which killed 49 and injured 53, "an act of terror." It was, writes The New York Times, the "deadliest attack on a gay target in the nation’s history."

The Prop 187-ing of America
Latino

Univision anchor Jorge Ramos recently sat down for an interview with the Los Angeles Times, which was later rebroadcast in podcast format. Part of his responses are more of the same, but there are statements that should raise a huge red flag.
The Life of the Mind Led in the Dark
June 9th, 2016 10:52 PM
Looking back through the years I have seen it all coming: the militant ignorance of students strutting across our college campuses today, the authoritarian style of the administrators, the mediocrity of the professors and the sheer goofiness of the students. It all came out of the late 1960s. Most of my fellow 1960s graduates went on to careers in the professions, commerce and industry. But some…
Measuring Life By the Spoonful
June 9th, 2016 10:50 PM
"How is your daughter doing?" is one of the most complicated questions I've had to answer. As Veronica marks her 16th birthday this month, we are sharing an update in hopes of de-stigmatizing and demystifying life with chronic pain, fatigue and other undiagnosed chronic illnesses.
Elitist Arrogance, Part II
June 8th, 2016 8:40 PM
A basic economic premise holds that when the price of something rises, people seek to economize on its use. They seek substitutes for that which has risen in price. Recent years have seen proposals for an increase in the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour. Some states and localities, such as Seattle, have already legislated a minimum wage of $15 an hour.
Obama, Immigration Propaganda and Our National Identity
June 8th, 2016 8:38 PM
Just when you think the Hollywood left might be showing some independence from the Obama White House, it once again falls in line to mouth its propaganda. Just kidding. No one believes that Hollywood leftists think independently.

Snoop Dogg Is Right on 'Roots'
June 4th, 2016 6:36 PM
My musical tastes do not include rap and hip-hop, but when Snoop Dogg comments on the "Roots" remake, saying he is tired of movies about slavery and would prefer a series "about the success that black folks are having," he is singing my song.
The $16 Billion Tax-Credit Black Hole
June 2nd, 2016 12:59 PM
President Obama and GOP House Speaker Paul Ryan want to expand it. Tax preparation companies and illegal immigrants are cashing in on it. Fraudsters have found bottomless ways to exploit it. The earned income tax credit, a bipartisan-supported "anti-poverty" benefit, is robbing honest, law-abiding Americans blind.
The State of Our Tradition
June 1st, 2016 10:08 PM
Madrid — One thing conservatives overlook in their worldview is tradition. We favor limited government, free enterprise, certain social issues and a strong defense. But we slide over the basic theme of tradition. Russell Kirk, an important conservative thinker, favored tradition, and he wrote about it. But I cannot think of another prominent thinker of recent years who stressed it.
Rules? Why Would Hillary Follow Rules?
May 30th, 2016 11:44 AM
"Rules are made to be broken" is a saying that has many variations, but perhaps no one has summed up Hillary Clinton's attitude (and Bill's, too) about rules more than the late science-fiction writer, Robert A. Heinlein, who said: "I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I…
Pregnant Woman Killed for Refusing Abortion: Not News
May 30th, 2016 7:26 AM
The media have put a gag order on themselves. If an abortion doctor is killed, it is headline news, but because a pregnant woman was murdered for refusing to have an abortion, the media are ignoring this story.
A candlelight vigil was held at Jones Park in North Asheville, North Carolina, for Candace Pickens. The pregnant woman, 22, was found dead in a nearby elementary school playground…
