As we watch TV news during the midterm season, what we've mostly noticed is that there's not much news about candidates -- just some general tilt against Trump's bad approval ratings. But Democrats get a pass, and Republican flubs are news.
So Sen. Eric Schmitt getting his facts wrong in a question to former special counsel Jack Smith is the only story of that hearing. There was no time to consider that Smith was an out-of-control partisan trying to make sure Trump didn't get re-elected in 2024.
GOP Senate candidate Ken Paxton caught on audio by The New York Times complaining Trump's midterm convention hurt him politically becomes a TV story. Because good news for Democrats is what is considered "newsworthy." They just do not care how it makes them look like DNC Media.
NewsBusters Associate Editor Nick Fondacaro and Senior Research Analyst Bill D'Agostino joined the show. The media ignored Maine Democrat Troy Jackson this week having to apologize after claiming “It’s unfortunate that there are people here in Maine that don’t like to use that term [genocide] only because they’re Jewish and what that means to them with the Holocaust,” Jackson told News Center Maine about Israel. “It fits that description, and it is [a genocide].”
Nick explained all the drama over The View co-host Sunny Hostin boasting that she was a holdout juror on behalf of the "Butcher of Tompkins Square Park," who killed someone and then cooked their corpse and fed it to homeless people. She wanted to explain how passionately she favors an insanity defense.
As network shows begin returning to television for the fall season, CBS’s liberal, TDS-laden “Sitcom King” Chuck Lorre, who we’ve covered extensively, has once again taken shots at President Trump as a “bloated orange piece of” excrement who he wishes would die of a heart attack on the toilet, and insulted First Lady Melania Trump as a “surgically enhanced, cold-hearted Yugoslavian escort who clearly hates her husband.
Finally, NBC's Saturday Night Live loves the socialist mayor of New York so much that they turned President Trump into a desperate Mamdani fan. The fake president told the fake mayor: “I just love hanging out with you. We’re like one of those unlikely animal friendships, like when a tiger gets together with a baby goat. When I see stuff like that, I want to text it to you and say, this could be us!” We even get this fake gush: “You're in most of my dreams. I call you Mam-dreamy. Pick me, choose me, love me!”
