LAWRENCE O’DONNELL: In a fully demented, Trumpian attempt to self-certify his military credentials, Donald Trump posted this picture of himself today using the lying phrase “military academy.” “Donald Trump in military academy” is a lie. He was in a rich kids boarding school, a high school in suburban New York. The United States of America has military academies at West Point, at Annapolis, and in Colorado Springs, where the Air Force Academy is located. Donald Trump could not possibly have gained admission to any one of those military academies, and instead he went to a high school where they engaged in cosplaying every day as imaginary members of an imaginary military.
The uniform he's wearing in this stupid picture that any sane person would know is an embarrassing picture, is an invented costume. It's like a Halloween costume- has no meaning whatsoever. Imagine you're in service on one of those Navy vessels still on patrol in Donald Trump's war, where there have been all sorts of problems on the ships with food supply and water supply and the basic necessities of life. And you see Donald Trump posting this clownish picture of himself in high school as his claim of authority to be your Commander-in-Chief on the same day that he says, “I'm not in a hurry. I don’t care how long you have to stay on those ships.”
The ridiculous rant was intended as a segue to a broader segment on the charges filed against the Navy sailor who is alleged to have repeatedly attempted to jump off the USS Abraham Lincoln. Once again, an over-the-top but poorly researched rant by O’Donnell is made to look ridiculous.
O’Donnell’s spittle-flecked rant about Trump’s uniform and alma mater crumbles under a 10-second Google search. O’Donnell’s rage notwithstanding, Trump did in fact attend the New York Military Academy and is listed among the school's "Distinguished Alumni.” And they’ve been around, too. From their website:

The truth was very easily searchable, but inconvenient to O’Donnell’s hysterical rant. This is what Trump Derangement has reduced O'Donnell to: impotently waving around a high school photo of the President of the United States in an attempt to disqualify him as Commander-in-Chief, despite twice being elected by the American people. A very dumb segment from a guy who often calls conservatives stupid.
Trump Derangement is a brain rot, and it shows. MS NOW, it is rewarded with a prime time slot.
