Among the avalanche of Democratic Party wins on Election Night was Jay Jones, who ran for attorney general of Virginia. During Wednesday’s edition of ABC News’s The View, the leftist ladies marveled and touted Jones’s win despite the revelations that he sent multiple text messages calling for the death of his Republican opposition and for their children to die in their mothers’ arms. The View cheered Jones overcoming the scandal as “a resounding rejection” of President Trump and Republicans.
Amid their gushing about how great the Democratic pool of candidates were, fake Republican Ana Navarro was the one to bring up Jones and how he was able to win by six points despite the scandal:
But you know, I'll tell you this, not every Democratic candidate on the ballot was a great candidate. In Virginia, they had a guy Jay Jones running for attorney general who just a few weeks ago it was reveal – these texts that he had sent fantasizing about killing a political opponent had resurfaced. I mean, this guy was a bad candidate and even that bad Democratic candidate won by six points. So, that tells me that this was a resounding rejection of Donald Trump’s second term.
Co-host Joy Behar thought that the “resounding rejection” Navarro mentioned also included “the Republican Party;” an ominous thing to tout given Jones’s support for their deaths.
Ana Navarro TOUTS Democrat Jay Jones being elected AG despite texts fantasizing the murder of Republicans and their kids. They celebrate it as a rejection of Trump and the GOP:

Near the top of the show, Behar recalled Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-GA) appearance on the show the previous day and quipped about how good her timing was to lean away from the GOP:
Well, what's his name, Trump, is going to have to learn how to pronounce Mamdani’s name now. That’s going to be rough on him. Before we even talk about that, I have to say Marjorie Taylor Greene, who was on the show yesterday, her timing couldn't have been better. I mean, she's basically turning on the Republicans in several areas, of course, continuing to say she loves Trump because why wouldn't you, because the retribution against her would be horrible. So, she stays there, but – And then today the Democrats pulled it out of the air and did it. So, she was right. She's smarter than we thought.
"She's smarter than we thought."

Joy Behar is in a good mood following Democratic wins and now praises Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA) and her appearance on The View yesterday:

Leading the way on praising the Democratic candidates was pretend independent Sara Haines, who touted Virginia’s Governor-elect Abigail Spanbegrer, who refused to pull her endorsement of Jones but was still lauded as “pragmatic”:
Well, you had said, Joy, everyone thought because of the New York election that we're all, like Democrats are socialists. I say I paid less attention to that election in general because I was a bigger fan of Abby Spanberger and Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill. Both of these are centrist Democrats. I’ve been screaming about them since they joined Congress back in like 2019-2020.
These are people that are common sense, pragmatic service level people. They've been in the CIA, Navy, they happen to be women but they never ran on being women which is a better sell. This was an election of some amazing candidates. So, although I think it's also kind of speaks to people being unhappy with how Donald Trump is running the country, I also wouldn't take away the quality of these candidates who have been leading and winning over and over again.
“So, for everyone who says, ‘this country is not ready for a woman;’ oh, it is when it's the right woman. And they won handily yesterday,” Haines proclaimed.
Avoiding the democratic socialist label, Sunny Hostin praises Mamdani's victory in NYC and celebrates California passing Prop 50 to eliminate GOP representation in the state:

Agreeing with Haines that “these were exceptional candidates,” co-host Sunny Hostin lauded New York City’s election of Zohran Mamdani:
And I also think that what it taught us is that the Democratic Party is a big tent party. It's an inclusive party. We have a man who is the first Muslim mayor of New York City, who is a very, very important politician, I think he's a very special politician and I think people want change. And so he may not be the face of the Democratic Party but what is the face of the Democratic Party, there are many faces. There are women. There are centrists, there are independents, there are Muslims, there are immigrants, and so I think that is huge takeaway.
“The other huge takeaway for me, that I don't think enough people are talking about is what happened in California with Prop 50,” Hostin beamed. “That for me was a huge, huge takeaway, because that is the road map for how Democrats become the opposition party. You meet energy with energy. When they go low, you go lower!”
Celebrating the election of a guy who wished death on conservatives and their kids was indeed very low.

WHOOPI GOLDBERG: What are your biggest takeaways from what we've seen?
JOY BEHAR: Well, what's his name, Trump, is going to have to learn how to pronounce Mamdani’s name now.
[Laughter]
SARA HAINES: Well, you had said, Joy, everyone thought because of the New York election that we're all, like Democrats are socialists. I say I paid less attention to that election in general because I was a bigger fan of Abby Spanberger and Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill. Both of these are centrist Democrats. SUNNY HOSTIN: I agree that these were exceptional candidates.
HAINES: Yes.
HOSTIN: And I also think that what it taught us is that the Democratic Party is a big tent party. It's an inclusive party. We have a man who is the first Muslim mayor of New York City, who is a very, very important politician, I think he's a very special politician and I think people want change. The other huge takeaway for me, that I don't think enough people are talking about is what happened in California with Prop 50.
GOLDBERG: Yeah, we're coming to that. We're coming to that
HOSTIN: That for me was a huge, huge takeaway, because that is the road map for how Democrats become the opposition party. You meet energy with energy. When they go low, you go lower! I am sorry, but that is where we are now. We need that opposition and I think we saw that last night.
ANA NAVARRO: But you know, I'll tell you this, not every Democratic candidate on the ballot was a great candidate. In Virginia, they had a guy Jay Jones running for attorney general who just a few weeks ago it was reveal – these texts that he had sent fantasizing about killing a political opponent had resurfaced. HOSTIN: Won. Yeah.
NAVARRO: So, that tells me that this was a resounding rejection of Donald Trump’s second term.
BEHAR: And the Republican Party.
