Since Vanity Fair unveiled its cover featuring Bruce Jenner’s transition to Caitlyn Jenner on Monday afternoon, the “Big Three” (ABC, CBS, and NBC) networks have gone over the top in their promotion of the story, giving it a whopping 48 minutes and 25 seconds of coverage (Monday night through Wednesday morning) -- while omitting several damaging stories regarding President Obama’s policy agenda.

After actor Vince Vaughn declared himself to be an ardent supporter of the Second Amendment in a recent interview with British GQ, only Tuesday’s NBC Today took notice of the celebrity’s conservative stance – and only for a brief 30 seconds. ABC and CBS completely ignored the story. Even ABC’s Good Morning America, usually obsessed with pop culture, skipped the news.

Social conservative-haters in the liberal media are sharpening their knives today as Rick Santorum is set to announce his 2016 presidential ambitions. From his arrival to the Senate in 1995 through his 2012 presidential run the media have attacked the former Pennsylvania Republican Senator as a “terrifying” “theocrat” who wants to impose a “Christian version of Sharia law.”

While ignoring the rolling release of her State Department e-mails, Tuesday’s CBS This Morning did find time to tout Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton making the number two spot on the annual Forbes magazine list of the world’s most powerful women.

In a story for Tuesday’s NBC Today devoid of any Hillary Clinton critics, correspondent Andrea Mitchell highlighted “one Democratic ally,” Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro, “considered a potential running mate by some should Clinton win the nomination,” dismissing the e-mail scandal still swirling around the former Secretary of State as a “side show.”

NBC's Today show on Friday completely ignored the revelation that the Clinton Foundation failed to report over $26 million dollars in donations. ABC's Good Morning America allowed a scant 20 seconds on the topic. CBS This Morning focused on the unfolding Clinton scandal in general, but didn't specifically report on the latest news. 

On Wednesday’s NBC Today, co-host Tamron Hall stumbled upon conservative economic philosophy as she defended a hot dog vendor’s right to charge customers whatever he wanted, even if it was overpriced: “But why can’t he set his own prices? I mean, if a restaurant sells their hot dog, steak, or whatever for the price they want, why is his price regulated?”

As news broke Tuesday that the State Department would not release Hillary Clinton's e-mails as secretary of state until January of 2016, all three network morning shows finally noticed the Democratic presidential candidate has refused to take questions from the press.

Did Joe Scarborough just suggest that the suits at his own network are craven cowards who put bucks over ethics? On today's Morning Joe, Scarborough predicted that if Matt Lauer had pulled a Stephanopoulos, NBC would hesitate to punish him [just as ABC hasn't disciplined Steph], because Lauer's morning Today show "is where they make the money."
