In a story first broken by Mediaite’s Aidan McLaughlin, our friends at Newsmax announced Wednesday morning that, starting on Thursday, they will be returning to DirecTV as part of a “a multi-year distribution deal” nearly two months to the day its contract with the satellite TV provider ended and the network was dropped from its lineup.

It appears that DirecTV dubiously dropping Newsmax and One America News within months of each other may be connected to the lawsuit by Dominion Voting Systems against the two news outlets.

Tuesday’s White House press briefing featured some strong questions and softballs (such as one from a Polish radio reporter about President Biden’s Valentines Day plans), but the penultimate exchange was the most intriguing as Newsmax’s James Rosen pressed Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on whether the administration believes certain mediums of communication are weaker than others for Biden…

So. Meta -- aka Facebook -- has announced that it has finally reversed itself and is letting former President Trump back on the trademark social media site. Even a liberal media outlet raised questions about DirecTV’s standard of fairness in how it’s treating Newsmax in comparison to the leftist channels distributed on its platform.

There appears to be a trend going on at liberal video programming distributor DirecTV. The company dropped Newsmax from its channel lineup just months after it nixed One America News from the platform.
