A totally clueless Brian Williams on Monday night warned MSNBC viewers to not fall for false information as Iowa caucus results rolled in. The man who became known for spinning vast numbers of falsehoods while anchor at NBC News ominously began, “There's going to be some data floating around, especially the internet tonight.”

During live coverage of the Iowa caucus, Monday, MSNBC featured the F-word as voters debated who would be best for the military. A young woman talking to a Bernie Sanders fan complained, “I am a vet. My mom's a vet. How is he going to fix it?...The fact I haven't gotten benefits in three months because the VA is so fucked up really makes me concerned.” 

Speaking for the establishment, MSNBC analyst Nicolle Wallace on Monday announced that D.C. political types have decided they can “live with a President Trump.” But not, apparently, a President Cruz. Wallace, who previously worked for the McCain/Palin ticket, derided, “Ted Cruz's lack of civility toward his colleagues....He was not a very collegial person.” 

The left-wing hootenanny that is the Melissa Harris-Perry show went off the rails again on Saturday morning, with the host and her National Public Radio guest somehow comparing illegal aliens in Flint, Michigan to the Underground Railroad and the Fugitive Slave Act. Hillary Clinton's criminal defense attorney made a surprise appearance on today's Morning Joe, saying . . . oh, wait: that wasn't Hillary's lawyer--it was Andrea Mitchell. Same difference. While Hillary Clinton has not agreed to interviews with recordable Fox News journalists (and two-time debate moderators) Bret Baier, Megyn Kelly or Chris Wallace, the Democratic presidential candidate called in to MSNBC on Sunday night for an interview with disgraced former NBC Nightly News anchor and current MSNBC breaking news anchor Brian Williams.

All three cable networks had extensive coverage on Sunday night for the eve of the 2016 Iowa caucuses and with Hardball host Chris Matthews among the cast of characters on MSNBC, there was no shortage of notable comments ranging Matthews admitting that he has “butterflies out there in the locker room” ahead of the vote to gushing that he “like[s] Hillary personally and politically.”

Kevin Drum at Mother Jones highlighted an exchange about Trump overcoverage on Twitter between MSNBC host Chris Hayes and Washington Post economics correspondent Jim Tankersley.
