If MS NOW had a mascot, it would be a blue parrot. When The Briefing host Jen Psaki interviewed Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey on her Wednesday show about the ICE shooting involving an agent and an SUV driver, she repeated his accusation that the Trump administration’s defense of the agent was “BS,” and Frey himself echoed Psaki’s echo by doubling down on the “BS” language.

Morning Joe brought out the Yes-buts on Monday. "We're certainly not hoping that things [in Venezuela] unravel, BUT that's what recent history has taught us." You just know that Scarborough and the rest of the liberal media are licking their lips, hoping and praying, waiting to pounce at the slightest indication that things are not going according to plan.

Fox News is on the upswing, while MS NOW and CNN are falling off. It would be unsurprising for "news" networks to lose audience after a presidential campaign year, but Fox's success makes the others look worse. Overall, Fox News scored its highest ratings for the year ever for a non-election year, second only to 2020.

On Monday's Morning Joe, MS NOW analyst and member of the New York Times editorial board Mara Gay claims that Somalis are being "scapegoated" over welfare-program fraud in Minnesota.

Foxnews.com reported our least favorite journalism professor – Jason Johnson, the MS NOW contributor – appeared on The Weekend on Saturday to suggest Trump-ordered strikes on terrorist on Nigeria are racist. Of course he did. It was "just another opportunity for this administration to engage in violence in a Brown country in order to flex their power."

Saturday's The Weekend on MS NOW ran a segment that began with clips of Hakeem Jeffries saying the Democrats' philosophy is "strong floor, no ceiling." Jeffries had cribbed that phrase from Oliver Libby, author of a book with that title. The show had Libby on as a guest, and both hosts pushed back against Libby's belief that there should be no ceiling on the success of Americans.

2025 was a year when the agents of ICE became villainized under Trump, with talk of "concentration camps" and the like. 

When a few Congressional Democrats pontificated that the September 2, 2025 U.S. “double tap” drug boat strike somehow constituted a “war crime,” the left-wing TV news media eagerly amplified the claim. But almost without exception, journalists were careful not to mention that the original accusation had originated from a handful of Democrats.

On MS NOW's Deadline White, Ken Dilanian, historically a loyal toer of the liberal line, admits that during the Biden administration, Democrats weren't calling for the release of the Epstein files, and, criticisms notwithstanding, there's more transparency now during teh Trump administration than there has been in many years.
