On Morning Joe, New Republic editor Michael Tomasky blames tne "right-wing media" for the public's approval of Trump's transition.  He singles out Rupert Murdoch for particular opprobrium. Tomasky is nostalgic for the days when there was "common civic agreement about basic morality in public life." Translation: when the liberal media set the agenda.

Thursday's front page at The New York Times featured a story headlined "Biden, Wearied and Stinging, Prepares to Exit." White House reporters Peter Baker and Zolan Kanno-Youngs were blunt in the third paragraph about Biden's twilight. "Time is catching up with Mr. Biden....it is hard to imagine that he seriously thought he could do the world’s most stressful job for another four years…

On Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough repeatedly cites the election results in Wisconsin to downplay the scope of Trump's win.  He doesn't mention that Trump flipped  the state after having lost it in 2020. Scarborough also buries the fact that the electorate shifted right in all 50 states, and in 89% of counties.

Joe Scarborough is frustrated by the Democrats having lost Ohio to the Republicans, despite low household income in Ohio, and yet voters supporting a Republican government "of, by, and for" billionaires.  If you just read the transcript, you might have thought it was Bernie Sanders, the socialist senator from Vermont, not Scarborough.

On Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough says that Pete Hegseth's views on women in the military would take us back to the 11th century. Calling him a "retrograde throwback," MSNBC Republican Elise Jordan says his views would take us back to "the Crusades."

This past week, several MSNBC hosts pushed a sore loser narrative that the Republican House majority was won because of "rigged" congressional districts, with one host even claiming Republicans had been "cheating basically."
