CBS This Morning

On Thursday, CBS This Morning acted as an unofficial spokesperson for First Lady Michelle Obama as they eagerly promoted a video of her working out at the gym. For their part, ABC’s Good Morning America and NBC’s Today did not cheerlead for Mrs. Obama during their broadcasts. 

On Wednesday, CBS This Morning hosted New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio for an exclusive interview at the top of One World Trade Center’s new observation desk and gave the far-left mayor an unchallenged platform to promote his liberal agenda. 

On Tuesday, CBS This Morning’s resident marijuana correspondent Barry Petersen filed yet another pro-pot piece and highlighted how “[t]his new business is still figuring out how to be a business."

As news broke Tuesday that the State Department would not release Hillary Clinton's e-mails as secretary of state until January of 2016, all three network morning shows finally noticed the Democratic presidential candidate has refused to take questions from the press.

On Tuesday, CBS This Morning and NBC’s Today continued to promote President Obama officially joining Twitter and featured numerous fawning segments highlighting the “Breaking News.” After CBS and NBC both touted Obama’s new Twitter handle on their Monday night broadcasts, their respective morning shows provided 4 minutes and 35 seconds of free promotion for the new @POTUS account.

On Monday, both CBS This Morning and NBC's Today seized on the same talking point that 2016 Republican candidates were "struggling" with questions about the Iraq war and that the issue "keeps tripping everybody up."

With the bleak news on Monday that Ramadi had fallen to the terrorist group ISIS, the three networks minimized an examination of Barack Obama's responsibility. On Monday, CBS This Morning was the only network morning show to cover Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez (D-CA) receiving blowback for her “controversial sound” depicting Native Americans at a Democratic event over the weekend. Co-host Gayle King highlighted how Sanchez is now “apologizing for what some call racist remarks” after being caught on camera at a Democratic convention over the weekend…

This week, as the Clinton Foundation scandal simmers, NBC travels to Africa to tout the "heartwarming" stories of the Foundation's good works, while CBS belittles the scandals as "distractions" and "noise." Yet, even as they protect Hillary, reporters deride GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina: "I don't think we would be taking her seriously at all if she weren't a woman."

On Thursday’s CBS This Morning, soon-to-be Face the Nation moderator John Dickerson blasted Jeb Bush for his handling of questions about the Iraq War and whether or not he would have authorized the invasion knowing what we know now. 

In what would traditionally be considered a gaffe, Barack Obama on Tuesday attacked those who send their children to private schools and play at "private clubs." (The President does both.) ABC and NBC on Wednesday promoted the campaign to remove Andrew Jackson from the $20 and replace him with a woman. Just like when CBS pushed the concept in March and April, Good Morning America and Today didn't mention that the majority of the candidates suggested by the group Womenon20s.org were either prominent Democratic or liberal activists. 

As the controversy swirling around the Clinton Foundation continued to grow, Monday, only CBS This Morning covered the revelation that the Clintons attempted to pressure a well-known charity watchdog into withdrawing its objections. Despite a combined six hours of air-time, ABC's Good Morning America and NBC's Today ignored the story.
