So much of what is reported on legacy network news these days isn’t so much news as it is anti-news- propaganda meant to disinform and/or make viewers afraid of something. Such is the case with CBS’s report on changes to the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) that aired on tonight’s Evening News Plus.

The Trump economy just keeps defying all the media crystal ball predictions of economic catastrophe, but the evening networks revealed an impulse to ignore good news that benefits the president.

A full day after the horrific Minneapolis church shooting, the legacy newscasts were mostly trying to render the shooter into an afterthought. But, when forced to mention him in any meaningful way, they continued to adhere to liberal orthodoxy and refer to him by his preferred pronouns.

As predictable as the Sun rising in the East, death, and taxes: CBS’s John Dickerson delivering an insufferable editorial to close out the day’s broadcast of CBS Evening News Plus. Last night was no different, after a transgender individual shot up a Catholic church during a back-to-school Mass, killing two children and injuring many others.

In what appears to be a perverse “don’t say transgender challenge”, the legacy newscasts went out of their way to mention that the coward who entered into the Annunciation Catholic Church and opened fire on an ongoing Mass was in fact a transgender individual. The networks were equally circumspect about divulging the shooter’s motives.

CBS’s Scott MacFarlane is on an extended whine session regarding the Trump administration’s deployment of National Guard personnel to the nation’s capital in order to solve a persistently high crime problem. In so doing, MacFarlane defends D.C.’s questionable crime data with the ferocity of Lt. Hiroo Onoda defending the Philippine jungles for decades after the end of World War II.

The legacy evening newscasts made an awful editorial choice tonight. Faced with a decision to spotlight families of our fallen service members or continue to cast “Maryland Dad” Kilmar Abrego García as a victim, they chose the latter.

Closing out Tuesday’s CBS Evening News Plus, the ever-pompous John Dickerson used his “Reporter’s Notebook” commentary to falsely claim President Trump wants to minimize and/or do away with slavery as a topic in the Smithsonians, arguing doing so would be an affront to “American exceptionalism” and the memory of Union soldiers who fought the Civil War to end it.

ABC, CBS, NBC censor deadly crash in Florida allegedly caused by illegal immigrant trucker.

On last night’s CBS Evening News, a bias by omission twofer via Justice Correspondent Scott MacFarlane. In addition to airing citations of the well-debunked D.C. crime statistics MacFarlane omitted key details of an arrest in Northwest D.C., all in service of furthering narratives adversarial to the federal takeover of D.C. police.
