Here We Go Again: Climate Taxes on the Table, Accompanied by Usual Med
They're back, they have their media water-carriers in place, and the Obama administration is smack dab in the middle of it.
The United Nations is pushing for countries in the developed world to keep their "promise" to, in the worlds of Charles J. Hanley at the Associated Press, "raise up to $100 billion a year in new money for poorer countries to cope with climate change and reduce their…

How Does 'Vice President Marco Rubio' Sound
Politico on Sunday featured two pieces at its website that make one wonder if Republican senator-elect Marco Rubio of Florida should be a strong contender for the GOP's vice presidential nominee in 2012.
"Hispanics Emerge As Key 2012 Wildcard" laid the groundwork:

NBC: Toy-Banning San Francisco 'Deserves Their Own Toy' for Playing Fo
On Thursday's Today on NBC, Matt Lauer lined up two experts to praise the San Francisco Board of Supervisors for voting 8-3 to ban toys in kids' meals that don't meet nutritional standards set by the city. Kids would only get a toy if the meal has less than 600 calories with reudced, sodium, fat, and guar. It must include a fruit and vegetable. Supervisor Eric Mar was quoted: “An as a father…

We're All The Tea Party Now
Pollster Frank Luntz has an absolutely must-read op-ed in Sunday's Washington Post about what Tuesday's elections really meant, and what the real temper is in the country right now.
In it, he listed the governmental priorities held by 60 percent of the nation:

Gay Teen Honored on Glamour Magazine's 'Women of the Year' List
To be honored as one of Glamour magazine’s “Women of the Year,” a woman must have made a huge impact, changed the world for good, broken boundaries, stereotypes, etc. Except when she doesn’t. Sometimes all she needs to do is complain to the ACLU that her high school is refusing to let her bring a lesbian date to prom.
Constance McMillen, a high school senior in Fulton, Mississippi, received…

Liberal Talkers Unglued: Ed Schultz Sneers Obama's 'Mr. Vanilla,' Mike
As anyone should expect, liberal talk-radio hosts were not happy with the election returns, but they turned their anger on President Obama for his perfunctory pledges to work together with Republicans in the next two years. On Wednesday afternoon, Ed Schultz attacked him as “Mister Vanilla”:
Well, just what I thought. Mr. Vanilla, Barack Obama, flat and lame, olive branches coming out all…

Dana Milbank: 'Would We Be Better Off Under a President Hillary Clinto
After a stinging defeat at the polls Tuesday, liberal media members are rethinking the horse they backed in 2008, what with the economy struggling, unemployment near 10 percent, and the Democrats suffering their worst loss in a midterm election since before most of these so-called journalists were born.
It was therefore not at all surprising to see Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank…

AP's Liz 'Sore Loser' Sidoti: GOP Counted on 'Lagging Recovery' For Co
Darn. If only the midterm elections had been held after Friday's Employment Situation Report instead of before, the results might have been very different.
Apparently that's what the Associated Press's Liz Sidoti (pictured at the top right at this post's home page tease) wants us to believe, as she ended her borderline bitter take on the origins of Congressional Republicans' successful…

Obama Doesn't Seek Compromise Neither Should We
I take no great pleasure in having been correct in predicting Barack Obama's reaction to his Tuesday "shellacking." To borrow his terminology, he is wired not to hear the American people's opposition to his radical agenda, as painfully demonstrated in his postelection news conference.
Unhappily, Obama's answers showed even deeper intransigence than I had thought he would be willing to reveal…

Olbermann Gave Rare Voice to 'Dissenting Views' On Iraq War
New York Times reporter Brian Stelter wrote a front-page story for Saturday's Times on the suspension of Keith Olbermann, but the worst sentence overstated how rare the "anti-war" voices were in the "rush to war" in Iraq:
Mr. Olbermann’s program, “Countdown,” is the most popular hour on MSNBC, with about 1.1 million viewers a night. Years ago, Mr. Olbermann gave voice to dissenting views…

America's Only Openly Socialist Member of Congress Defends Keith Olber
The same day an MSNBC host admitted to being a socialist on national television, America's only openly socialist member of Congress came out in defense of Keith Olbermann after the "Countdown" host was suspended indefinitely for violating NBC's campaign finance rules.
If you needed any more proof of just how far to the left this so-called news network is, you should look no further than what…

Mark Shields: Palin Quitting As Governor Is Like Kennedy's Chappaquidd
PBS's Mark Shields on Friday said Sarah Palin's decision to resign as the governor of Alaska is "like Ted Kennedy's Chappaquiddick."
This astonishingly came moments after he called Nancy Pelosi the most effective House Speaker in his lifetime on the most recent installment of "Inside Washington" (video follows with transcript and commentary):
