Hayes Panel Plays 'Celibate Men Lack Moral Authority' Card on Catholic
Suffer me to begin with a suggestion: if you ever have the chance to hear the Rev. William Dailey of Notre Dame law school speak, jump on it. Dailey is a stunningly brilliant advocate, among the best I have ever encountered on any issue.
Dailey appeared on today's Up With Chris Hayes on MSNBC, where he masterfully made the case against the Obama administration's order forcing Catholic…

Evan Thomas Calls Obama's Contraception Edict 'Crazy
Politico's Evan Thomas on Friday made perhaps the best observation about the Obama administration's edict requiring the Catholic Church to provide contraception for its employees.
Appearing on PBS's Inside Washington, Thomas said, "It seems crazy to me what they are doing" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Krauthammer Mocks Inside Washington Host for Citing MSNBC's Fineman
It was rather telling on Friday when Gordon Peterson, the host of PBS's Inside Washington, cited the Huffington Post's Howard Fineman calling Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney "a giant hairball" on MSNBC.
Luckily for viewers with some objectivity, syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer was there to call Peterson out saying, "I like your choice of objective sources" (video…

Bozell Column: Another Fleeting Failure for NBC
Super Bowl XLVI was a good football game, marred once again by the bohemian elite at NBC. NBC could have prevented, but failed to stop, the broadcast of a female rapper "flipping the bird" at 114 million viewers during Madonna's halftime show. It was another "fleeting expletive" of the hand-gesture variety, and somehow, despite elaborate rehearsals, no one at NBC could seem to stop it.
The…

Why Would a Guy Who Forecast 'Death of Conservatism' Be Time's Designa
Time magazine decided to publish a symposium on "What Is a Conservative?" in its February 13 edition employing "voices of -- and experts on -- the right," including Erick Erickson, Rich Lowry, Ramesh Ponnuru, Ann Coulter, Grover Norquist, Pete Wehner, and libertarian Nick Gillespie. The obvious non-conservative "expert" in this group is Sam Tanenhaus, editor of the New York Times Book Review.…

Daily Kos Week in Review: Confusing Ground for Religious Haters
This past week, Kossacks were eager to advise religious conservatives (e.g., that their faith should lead them to endorse, not condemn, homosexual activity) as well as malign them (e.g., allege that they're dictatorial idiots). But CPAC is like an al-Qaeda meeting?
As usual, each headline is preceded by the blogger's name or pseudonym.

Al Sharpton: 'You Cannot Have Rights Voted On' - It's 'Tyranny By The
UPDATE AT END OF POST: The Confederacy's Jefferson Davis railed against "the tyranny of the majority" wanting to end slavery.
Al Sharpton on Friday said something that every American on both sides of the aisle should totally fear.
"You cannot have rights voted on," the MSNBC anchor actually said on HBO's Real Time. "You have tyranny by the majority" (video follows with transcript and…

Geraldo Compares Bishops' 'Stick In the Eye' Resistance to Obama With
Liberal talk radio hosts are really flustered by the Obama conflict with the Catholic Church. On his WABC show Thursday, Geraldo Rivera somehow compared the Catholic bishops to the people who were building the Ground Zero Mosque, if you can somehow try to define what the Catholic 9/11 was.
"I think it's like, if I may compare it to the mosque that was going to go next to Ground Zero downtown…

NPR Slavishly Turns to EEOC, ACLU to Boost Federal Contraception Manda
Julie Rovner, NPR's on-staff shill for ObamaCare, filed an unashamedly one-sided report on Friday's Morning Edition about the controversial Obama administration mandate that forces religious institutions to include coverage of abortion-inducing drugs, sterilizations, and birth control.
Rovner turned to only two individuals for her pro-mandate report: Peggy Mastroianni, general counsel at the…

Wolf Blitzer Pulls Quote From Liberal Political Activist to Grill Sant
Pressing Rick Santorum on his opposition to women serving in combat, CNN's Wolf Blitzer quoted a liberal veteran who harshly criticized Santorum's policy. Blitzer did not identify the veteran or his group as "liberal," thus failing to address the critic's possible political motives against the conservative candidate.
"A very angry response from one veteran," Blitzer noted, before quoting the…

MSNBC's Bashir Hails Obama Contraceptive 'Compromise
On Monday, MSNBC's Martin Bashir tried to obscure the real policy issues in the contraceptive mandate row by harping on Newt Gingrich's past infidelities. On Wednesday, the afternoon host stocked his program with liberals who backed the Obama administration's position and complained Republicans were engaging in a "toxic waste of time" by calling for congressional debate on the contraceptive…

Martin Bashir Implies GOP Too Racist to Have Marco Rubio as VP Candida
MSNBC's Martin Bashir on Friday played one heck of a disgusting race card.
In the final segment of the show bearing his name, Bashir made the case without specifically saying it that the Republican Party is too racist for Cuban-American Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fl.) to be its vice presidential candidate (video follows with transcript and commentary):

NBC: CPAC Speakers 'Battle For the Base'; Try to 'Outdo Each Other Tak
With an on-screen headline describing the annual Conservative Political Action Conference as a "Battle for the Base," correspondent Kelly O'Donnell remarked: "...the Republican Party stars are, in essence, competing to outdo each other taking apart President Obama. From Florida, Senator Marco Rubio....to those former candidates who gave the primary season a fleeting spark."
Earlier in the…
