MSNBC's Bashir Challenges Pat Buchanan, Loses Badly

Someone at MSNBC should tell Martin Bashir that he might not agree with Pat Buchanan's politics, but he's not one to challenge about a matter of fact. On the show bearing his name Thursday, Bashir mistakenly tried to refute the conservative's claim that former Mayor Ed Koch accused President Obama of throwing Israel under the bus (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Maddow Claims Perry 'Put to Death' Convicted Killers in Texas

Ah, this would explain the blood on his hands. Rachel Maddow continues her yeoman's work as propagandist for Democrats, dishonestly attributing power over sentencing in Texas murder cases to Gov. Rick Perry instead of with juries where it actually resides. (video after page break)

ABC Breaks, Then Ignores News on Obama White House Ties to Solyndra

On Tuesday and Wednesday's World News, reporter Brian Ross exposed e-mails indicating that the Obama administration gave a $535 million loan to the green company Solyndra, despite deep  misgivings inside the government about its viability. Yet, Good Morning America has declined to follow-up on the ABC scoop. GMA completely ignored the story, failing to even mention it in a news brief. The…

WaPo Changes AttackWatch.com-Related Post Title to Make It About 'Cons

The Obama administration and the Obama campaign aren't the only ones who should be embarrassed by the AttackWatch.com snitch site Obama for America recently created. As demonstrated last night in a series of Associated Press searches (not in quotes) which resulted in nothing relevant and still don't (here on "attackwatch.com"; here on "Attack Watch"; here on "Obama campaign"; and here on "Obama…

'Doonesbury' Pimps Worst Palin Rumors: NBA-Sexing, Racist, Airheaded S

NBC may have lowered itself to an "exclusive" interview with author Joe McGinniss today -- something they did NOT do in 1993 when McGinniss drew universal condemnation for a sleazy Ted Kennedy biography titled The Last Brother. But Garry Trudeau has devoted almost a week now to spreading McGinniss gossip in his Doonesbury comic strips, with all the worst charges: she slept with NBA star Glen…

'Today' Show Gives Platform for Writer McGinniss to Hawk New Palin-Bas

NBC's Today touted an "exclusive" interview Thursday with Sarah Palin stalker and author Joe McGinniss, smearing the former governor with unsubstantiated allegations. NBC didn't try to prove them. They just spread them. Fill-in co-host Savannah Guthrie proclaimed: "Stunning allegations made about Sarah Palin in a bombshell book. Is she really the hockey mom she claims to be? How strong is her…

CNN's Jim Acosta asked Rick Perry Wednesday if he was "a tad overconfident" for stumping in a battleground state like Virginia so early in the campaign season. Perry, a leading Republican presidential candidate, delivered a speech at Liberty University earlier in the day. NPR Blogger: Obama Like Jesus with Call to 'Pass This Bill

We couldn't make this stuff up if we wanted to. Yesterday NPR blogger Frank James saw a parallel between President Obama's rally cry to a supporter to help him pass his "jobs bill" with Jesus's charge to the apostle Peter to "feed my sheep" (h/t Michael Ganoe):

Voters No Longer Buying Lib Media's Use of Sob Stories to Push Bigger

Liberals are on their high horses about a single audience member at CNN's Republican debate whom they believe wanted a hypothetical man without health insurance in a hypothetical coma to die -- hypothetically. (Democrats want people in comas to die only when they are not hypothetical but real, like Terri Schiavo.)

Open Thread: Obama's Widely-mocked Attack Watch

Only hours after launching a smear-fighting campaign website, President Obama's latest campaign tactic has already become a widely-mocked target of conservatives. As explained at Hot Air, Not only are major papers running headlines about the site becoming a laughingstock, even respected liberals are admitting that they would have flipped out had Bush tried something similar. Do you…
