NPR Host Asks 'Sniper' Star About Eastwood's Empty Chair 'Interview'
NPR talk show host Terry Gross interviewed American Sniper star Bradley Cooper for Monday afternoon’s Fresh Air, and the weirdest part came when she asked Cooper if he was spooked out of working with director Clint Eastwood after he “interviewed the chair” at the Republican National Convention in Tampa in 2012. Cooper laughed and dismissed her concern.

Brian Williams: Natural Result of a Pathological NBC Culture
So now another Brian Williams story surfaces, this time about Katrina. The lying and exaggerating? We're talking pathological -- and the pathology of an entire network’s culture. From exploding GM trucks to pretending Al Sharpton is a journalist, NBC's culture has put "narrative journalism" ahead of the truth. And the results are becoming clear.

Only CBS Covers Latest on Brian Williams, Downplays ‘Helicopter Ride’
Of the three morning shows on Saturday, only CBS covered the latest on the evolving Brian Williams scandal. Predictably, NBC’s Today again stayed silent. But so did ABC’s Good Morning America. Blogger: Obama Should Host His Own ‘Inter-Faith’ Prayer Breakfast
The American Prospect’s Paul Waldman advocates that Obama skip next year’s National Prayer Breakfast and instead “hold his own inter-faith breakfast at the White House, one geared more toward understanding and less toward proclamations of the one true faith. Of course, conservatives would be apoplectic if he did that, saying that it just shows how he hates Jesus and hates America. Which is…

USAT Reporters Defend Williams: 'False Memories,' 'Seething Reactions'
At USA Today Friday afternoon, two of its reporters came down on the side of Brian Williams in the controversy over what even the often media-enabling Associated Press has called his "fake Iraq story."
Roger Yu tried to portray Williams as a victim of a "synergistic stretch" who is now having to defend himself against the "firestorm on the Internet and social media," while Marisol Bello, who…

Brian Williams 'Flub' Can Be Explained Away By 'Science'?
Of all the things written about the Brian Williams affair, this trend is the most hilarious: The Washington Post opining about the validity of false memory. If this kind of article isn't seen as the most obvious example of journalists circling wagons around a lying colleague, what could be more obvious?
The headline was “The science behind Brian Williams’s mortifying memory flub.” Amy Ellis…

Bozell & Graham Column: Mike Huckabee vs. Beyonce
Mike Huckabee, the once and future presidential candidate, is somehow controversial for attacking Beyonce and her gangsta-rap husband Jay-Z in his new book God, Guns, Grits, and Gravy. Beyonce is one of the most popular singers in America, and Huckabee acknowledges that. But pollsters are distorting his book.
Conservative politicians aren’t really allowed to condemn the crudest excesses of…

Comedian Jimmy Fallon is a celebrity fraud's best friend. He's an answer to normal America's question: How do creepy stars get away with their grotesqueries? If you're lucky enough to sit by his late-night throne and join his cool-kid games, all your troubles will melt away. Funnyman Jimmy is not just a bread-and-circuses buffoon. He's the keeper of the pop culture immunity necklace.

Scarborough: Obama's Crusades Remark Is 'Stupid Left-wing Equivalency'
During Friday's edition of MSNBC's Morning Joe program, co-host Joe Scarborough fired back at President Barack Obama's comment that Christians and members of other faiths should not get on their “high horses” regarding Islamic violence given their own religions’ misdeeds in the past, including the Crusades and the Inquisition.
“It's unbelievable,” he noted, that the president had to “go back 700…
