Trump Questions Obama on Muslim Sports Heroes. Media Eats Trump Alive.
I must confess I had low expectations for Donald Trump’s live tweeting of the President Obama speech Sunday night. Not because I doubt Trump’s twitter skills, mind you, but more because the speech was a complete dud, totally lacking in substance and devoid of any semblance of leadership. However, I should have known Trump would not disappoint.

Daily Beast Spins History: 2nd Amendment Linked to 'Right' to Slavery
On Sunday, The Daily Beast's Christopher Dickey furiously tried to connect the Second Amendment to the protection of slavery before the Civil War. Dickey touted how Charles Dickens and "several British visitors to American shores...discerned... [that] people who owned slaves...wanted to carry guns to keep the blacks intimidated and docile." He also wildly claimed that "the Second Amendment...was…

CBS Recites White House Talking Points Defending Obama Speech
Covering President Obama’s Sunday night address on Monday’s CBS This Morning, co-host Norah O’Donnell turned to White House correspondent Major Garrett for “new insight on why the President spoke last night.” After briefly noting “lukewarm” reviews of the speech, Garrett proceeded to parrot administration talking points excusing the President’s poor performance. ABC’s Good Morning America labeled…

USA Today Poll: Are Pro-Lifers' Words to Blame for Colorado Shooting?
USA Today released a poll on Monday that repeated a poll from just two months ago to underscore a majority oppose defunding of Planned Parenthood. But to update it, the newspaper decided to ask if “Heated political rhetoric about Planned Parenthood and abortion bear some of the responsibility for what happened" in the Colorado Springs shooting. They found 46 percent agreed to blame pro-lifers,…

CNN's Camerota Lobbies Rand Paul on Obama's Gun Control Proposal
On Monday's New Day, CNN's Alisyn Camerota badgered Senator Rand Paul over President Obama's call for Congress to ban terror suspects from buying firearms: "That's one that seems as though it should be easy to fix. Why not close the loophole that allows suspects on the FBI's no-fly list to buy guns?" When Senator Paul cited how Ted Kennedy was on the no-fly list, Camerota shot back, "Look, I mean…

'SNL' Mocks Defunding Planned Parenthood, Pushes Need for Gun Control
On the December 5th airing of Saturday Night Live, fake-news anchor Michael Che called out the Republican Senate for scheduling action to defund Planned Parenthood, despite the recent shooting in San Bernardino. The reality of the Senate activity however is that the bill, known as the Restoring Americans’ Healthcare Freedom Reconciliation Act, was scheduled for Thursday, December 4, back on…

NBC Rips Obama Speech: ‘He Didn’t Offer Anything New’
Moments before President Obama’s Sunday night address to the nation about the San Bernardino terrorist attack, NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt hoped the speech might be “a defining moment for his presidency.” By Monday morning, reaction from hosts and analysts on the Today show made it clear the presidential remarks were not impressive.

George Stephanopoulos Skimps on Clinton Conflict of Interest
George Stephanopoulos, a former Bill Clinton operative and generous donor to the Clinton Foundation, on Sunday interviewed Hillary Clinton and only offered a quick, meager explanation of his conflict of interest. The This Week anchor began his discussion by briefly informing viewers: “[A] reminder for everyone watching, I worked for President Clinton, made charitable contributions in the past to…

NYT Sunday A1 Likens Trump to Fellow 'Demagogues' McCarthy, Buchanan
Reporters Patrick Healy and Maggie Haberman made Sunday's New York Times front page with a deep and deeply fear-mongering analysis of “demagogue” Donald Trump’s stump speeches: "95,000 Words, Many of Them Ominous, From Trump’s Tongue." But things that two Times reporters find “ominous” may not scare a more moderate reader, such as pointing out that ISIS chops off the heads of their victims.

Actor Joins NRA: ‘Sick' of Obama's 'Gleeful Degradation' of Gun Rights
In the wake of the San Bernardino mass shooting by Islamic terrorists last week, President Obama called for more punitive measures on Americans who want to buy guns instead of addressing specific measures against Muslims adhering to a radical ideology.
In a speech from the White House Sunday night, the President declared access to guns a matter of “national security.”

WashPost Newbie: GOP Bias Claims Usually 'Unfounded' or 'Exaggerated'
At the end of October, The Washington Post announced Callum Borchers of The Boston Globe would be joining their political team at “The Fix” to cover the intersection of media and politics and would, among other things, “occasionally call balls, strikes and fouls regarding campaign coverage.”
In the midst of an analysis headlined “The folly of the New York Times pleading for gun control on Page 1…

Notable Quotables: Prayer = 'Meaningless Platitudes' from 'Cowards'
This week, the media double down on Obama's anti-gun agenda and mock those who offer prayers as "cowards" hiding behind "meaningless platitudes." Also: NBC's Chuck Todd fears that, after San Bernardino, "our politics could be very ugly and very negative" thanks to Americans' "Islamophobia," while CNN can't figure out if the attack was because of radical Islam or "postpartum psychosis."

When Obama Loses Mika's Daughter...
Given the Morning Joe reviews, if President Obama's terrorism speech were a Broadway show, it would have closed after one night. From Richard Haass to Richard Engel, Joe Scarborough to Willie Geist, the prez's performance was universally panned.
And in the cruelest comment of all, Mika Brzezinski reported that "I watched it with my youngest daughter who's very, very interested and we were…
