The liberal media’s fear-mongering has gotten out of control. Watchers of Tuesday’s NBC Nightly News were given the impression that the Trump administration was content with anywhere between 100,000 and 240,000 Americans dying to the coronavirus in the next few weeks. That’s because correspondent Geoff Bennett flagrantly lied and claimed that projection was their “best-case scenario.” In reality, it was far from it.
On Thursday, the NBC and CBS morning shows kept pushing the narrative that President Trump’s use of the phrase “Chinese virus” was “racist” and endangering people. NBC even attempted to claim that China “helped” the rest of the world by “delaying” the spread of coronavirus.
Donald Trump declared a state of emergency on Friday at a White House press conference detailing the ongoing efforts to combat the Coronavirus. After speaking and sharing the stage with doctors and leaders in the economy, CBS News journalist Weijia Jiang wondered if the President was being “selfish” for not immediately taking a COVID-19 test.
Wednesday night would be only the second time in his presidency that Donald Trump would deliver an address to the nation with the full weight of the Oval Office around him. Despite the seriousness of the topic, the coronavirus outbreak in the U.S., CBS Evening News dismissed it as just an attempt at “damage control” for the administration’s image. They also elevated the screeching of raging House Democrats as CBS declared the address needed to be more than “just words.”
In their self-righteous letter calling on Attorney General Bill Barr to resign Monday, over 2,000 former Justice Department officials claimed he interfered with “the fair administration of justice,” by recommending a reduced prison sentence for Roger Stone. But there was no such letter when the DOJ inspector general found that the FBI had lied to the FISA Court in order to obtain warrants to spy on a Trump campaign aid. Of course, the same networks that blacked out how the top FISA judge accused the FBI of a criminal act were the same ones gushing about the new letter.
In a celebration on the South Lawn of the White House Wednesday, President Trump gathered with blue-collar workers, union leaders, CEOs, and Republican lawmakers to sign the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) trade deal into law. It was a hard-fought campaign promise three years in the making that helped many Americans, but NBC Nightly News didn’t think it was noteworthy as they spent two minutes and 41 seconds on impeachment.
On Tuesday, President Trump along with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and his challenger Benny Gantz, together announced a new peace plan to settle the decades-long Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It was a plan that guaranteed a two-state solution, but during their evening newscasts, CBS and NBC chastised the plan and suggested it was just a ploy to save Trump from impeachment and Netanyahu from corruption charges.
In his address to the nation on Wednesday regarding Iran’s missile attack on U.S. bases in Iraq, President Trump made reference to the fact that the Obama administration handed over roughly $1.7 billion to Iran as a ransom for American hostages and said it helped Iran fund the attack. Well, that triggered the liberal media who sprinted to the former President’s defense. CBS White House correspondent Weijia Jiang actually suggested it was “unfounded” for Trump to make the connection. And NBC ran to Obama-era liar Susan Rice for backup.
On Thursday, the NBC, ABC, and CBS morning shows all quickly accepted talking points from House Democrats that President Trump suffered a “meltdown” during a White House meeting with them on Wednesday afternoon. While some administration push-back was included in the coverage, reporters on all three networks laid blame for the Democrats walking out of that meeting solely on the President.
In another blatant attempt by the liberal media to drum up resentment against President Trump with more false reporting, the Monday editions of ABC’s World News Tonight and the CBS Evening News featured reports claiming the President was putting the life of the so-called “whistleblower” behind the Ukraine phone complaint, at risk.
An anonymous intelligence official has claimed that President Trump said something to someone during a phone call that the unnamed official found troubling. That is a summation of the flimsy reporting in The Washington Post that all three network morning shows seized on Thursday morning. With almost no facts to go on, reporters on NBC, ABC, and CBS breathlessly declared a “growing scandal” and “potential constitutional showdown” over the matter.
On Tuesday, both ABC’s Good Morning America and CBS This Morning decried the Trump administration enforcing legislation passed over two decades ago that allows the government to take into account how much legal immigrants to the United States rely on public welfare programs when considering granting them citizenship. The network broadcasts immediately channeled liberal “outrage” over the supposedly “hardline” policy.
