Maher: 'If a Brick Came Through Rupert Murdoch’s Apartment' Fox 'Wou
October 12th, 2011 1:16 AM
It appears Bill Maher and Rachel Maddow have now totally forgotten the new civility edict issued after Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords' (D-Ariz.) was shot this past January.
On The Rachel Maddow Show Tuesday, Maher said of the protesters demonstrating near the homes of some New York millionaires earlier in the day, "If a brick came through Rupert Murdoch’s apartment, yes, I have a feeling…
Hollywood Trade Mag Touts Maddow 'Won Primetime
October 6th, 2011 4:27 PM
Rachel Maddow is reluctantly ready for her close-up. Really.
That's the impression left by this gushy profile of Maddow in the most recent issue of the Hollywood Reporter. First flag that goes up: the title of the story on the magazine cover -- "The Wonk Who Won Primetime."
CSM's 'Decoder' Twists MSNBC Criticism of Cain Strategy Into 'Leaving
October 5th, 2011 10:30 PM
This afternoon, Jack Coleman at NewsBusters noted how MSNBC's Rachel Maddow took a shot at GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain for supposedly "taking a month off the campaign trail -- taking a month off -- to go on a book tour."
The original source for this "claim" is a very poorly written and quite deceptively headlined October 3 item at the Christian Science Monitor by David Grant. The…
Huh? Maddow Claims Surging Cain Suspends Campaign for Month to Plug Bo
October 5th, 2011 2:33 PM
I've never met Herman Cain, but he comes across as epitomizing confidence and competence -- such that he can probably campaign and chew gum at the same time.
Not only that, Cain undoubtedly possesses the ability to campaign and go on a book tour simultaneously, though MSNBC's Rachel Maddow doubts such a thing is possible, at least for Cain. (video after page break)
After Five Weeks MSNBC's Matthews, O'Donnell, Schultz and Sharpton Sti
October 5th, 2011 10:10 AM
It is now five weeks since the solar company Solyndra declared bankruptcy.
Despite the Obama administration lending this failed company $535 million dollars, and a growing scandal involving the White House, MSNBC's prime time hosts Chris Matthews, Lawrence O'Donnell, Ed Schultz, and Al Sharpton have yet to say one word on the subject.
Maddow's Dubious Claim About Personhood Law Banning The Pill Undercut
October 4th, 2011 11:21 AM
Simple rule of thumb for Rachel Maddow -- the more emphatic she is, the more likely she is to be wrong.
Latest example -- Maddow's strenuous, Elizabeth Warrenesque arm-waving claim that a proposed amendment to the Mississippi constitution to define life starting at conception would outlaw the Pill. (video after page break)
Rachel Maddow Plugs and Re-Plugs McCain Aide Smearing Palin as 'Cuckoo
September 30th, 2011 8:32 AM
While the “nonfiction” writers have clearly sharpened their knives for Sarah Palin (and put “writers” in quotes if we’re talking Levi Johnston), the liberal media also can’t help but publicize smear-fiction of Palin. Case in point: Nicolle Wallace, the Palin-hating McCain aide, whose new novel smears Palin with a plot about a vice president who isn’t vetted well who’s exposed after the election…
Maddow on Blame for Solyndra Debacle: Bush, Obama, Whatever
September 28th, 2011 7:39 PM
Bankrupt solar panel maker Solyndra made a fleeting appearance on the Rachel Maddow show Monday night, just long enough for Maddow to assure her viewers that this too can be seen as Bush's fault.
Maddow did her best to put a shine on the situation, suggesting the Bush administration was at much at fault for considering Solyndra's application for a $535 million federal loan as the Obama…
MSNBC's Matthews, O'Donnell, Schultz and Sharpton Still Haven't Report
September 28th, 2011 3:46 PM
Despite the growing scandal involving failed solar company Solyndra - now officially four weeks old - MSNBC's Chris Matthews, Lawrence O'Donnell, Ed Schultz, and Al Sharpton have still not reported the matter on their respective prime time programs.
The only regular MSNBC host to mention this subject in prime time is Rachel Maddow who predictably discounted its importance Monday (transcript…
Maddow Consistently Incapable of Distinguishing Few From Many
September 27th, 2011 5:17 PM
Rachel Maddow should never be put in charge of crowd control. Not until she learns to count.
Maddow is clearly flummoxed by what actually constitutes a crowd, as can be seen in her commentary on audiences at Republican presidential debates. (video after page break)
Look, in the Sky! MSNBC Host Chris Hayes Dazzled by Obama's 'Superpowe
September 24th, 2011 7:24 PM
Forget the birther theory that Obama was born in Kenya. Chris Hayes wants you to believe the president was born on Krypton.
How else to explain his over-the-top gushing for Dear Leader during an appearance on MSNBC colleague Rachel Maddow's show on Thursday (video after page break) --
Maddow Lets Jimmy Carter's Dishonesty About Israel Pass Unchallenged
September 21st, 2011 1:31 PM
Rachel Maddow neglected to do her homework before her "exclusive" interview with Jimmy Carter last week -- "exclusive" in the sense that no one else was talking to Carter at the time.
Maddow asked the former president about the ransacking of the Israeli embassy in Egypt, followed by Carter making a jaw-dropper of a claim about Israel's alleged refusal to relinquish land as stipulated in its…
Matt Lauer and Rachel Maddow Fret Over Obama 'Losing the Left
September 21st, 2011 12:17 PM
On Wednesday's NBC "Today," co-host Matt Lauer brought on left-wing MSNBC host Rachel Maddow to address concerns of President Obama being "in danger of losing support from his liberal base." The headline on screen throughout the segment read: "Losing the Left; Can President Obama Win Back His Base?"
Maddow downplayed Obama's slipping support in the polls: "I think mostly what is happening is…
Three Weeks After Solyndra Scandal Began MSNBC Prime Time Programs Sti
September 21st, 2011 9:45 AM
Today is the three week anniversary of the beginning of the Solyndra scandal, and the prime time programs of the so-called "news network" named MSNBC have yet to report one single word about it.
This is despite daily revelations about the growing controversy for the Obama administration including the following from the San Jose Mercury Tuesday:
