Following Hillary Clinton’s formal presidential announcement over the weekend, Monday’s CBS This Morning eagerly promoted her candidacy, and provided it more than 10 minutes of coverage throughout the broadcast but completely ignored the multiple scandals surrounding her as of late.  

After all three networks declined to label Senator Rand Paul a conservative during their morning news shows, on Tuesday night ABC’s World News Tonight broke ranks and labeled him a “mainstream conservative” on issues such as abortion, gay marriage, and tax cuts. Fellow networks CBS and NBC continued to not use the conservative label and stuck to labels such as “Republican” and “libertarian.”

On Tuesday, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul became the second Republican to officially enter the 2016 presidential race, following Senator Ted Cruz’s announcement on March 23. However, on the morning of their respective presidential announcements, the “Big Three” (ABC, CBS, and NBC) networks went out of their way to label Cruz a “conservative” 13 times, compared to zero conservative labels for Senator…

On Thursday’s CBS This Morning, reporter Nancy Cordes concluded a fairly balanced report over the battle between members of Congress and the White House surrounding nuclear negotiations with Iran by uncritically quoting the Supreme Leader of Iran slamming the GOP letter to his country as “ridiculous, disgusting, and gross.” 

CBS Evening News anchor Scott Pelley took it upon himself on Tuesday night to pull out all the stops to dismiss Hillary Clinton’s email scandal by chalking it up to just “one of those stories” Washington obsesses over and channeling a famous phrase of Clinton’s by wondering: “[W]hat difference does any of this make in Hillary Clinton's campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination?” …

NBC and ABC barely covered the possible corruption case against Democratic Senator Robert Menendez on their Friday evening newscasts. Together, the two networks set aside 49 seconds of air time to news briefs on Senator Menendez being "the subject of a corruption investigation over jet trips he took on the private plane of a Florida eye doctor," as Lester Holt put it on NBC Nightly News.

On Thursday night, the CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News neglected to mention video that had surfaced earlier in the day of Hillary Clinton attacking the Bush administration in 2007 over their supposed email practices. Instead of mentioning this latest example of hypocrisy by a Clinton, CBS touted a Democratic Congressman who lamented that this story is merely “in the realm of presidential…

According to Good Morning America's Jon Karl on Thursday, Hillary Clinton will ask Americans to simply trust her when it comes to the growing scandal regarding her e-mails as Secretary of State. Talking to George Stephanopoulos, Karl conceded, "George, this is basically going to be the honor system." 

NBC Nightly News covered the Hillary Clinton email scandal for a second straight evening with another segment on Wednesday, but it took the position of downplaying the situation by portraying it as political and invoking Republican Jeb Bush’s email usage in comparison. CBS This Morning journalist Nancy Cordes on Tuesday parroted White House spin on Benjamin Netanyahu's address before Congress. The reporter repeated that the President "said the speech creates the appearance of a political endorsement for Netanyahu, who is up for reelection later this month." 

On Monday, CBS This Morning did its best to play up the supposed GOP infighting over how best to fund the Department of Homeland Security while still opposing President Obama’s executive action on immigration.
