As ABC News was wrapping up the politics segment of Sunday’s Good Morning America, co-anchor Dan Harris and chief anchor George Stephanopoulos shared their deep-seated fears of how President Trump would govern after his likely impeachment acquittal on Wednesday. “Assuming that he is acquitted, which it looks like he certainly will be, what kind of impact do you think that will have on his governing style and his campaign style,” Harris wondered.
As the Senate impeachment trial of President Trump was set to resume on Monday with the second day of the President’s legal team giving their opening arguments, ABC’s Good Morning America and NBC’s Sunday Today previewed the trial and shared their fears for what the defense would say about former Vice President Joe Biden.
On Friday, former Vice President Joe Biden vowed to not comply with any subpoena to testify in the Senate’s impeachment trial of President Trump. Such an action could be classified as obstruction of Congress, the same thing Trump was being impeached for. Biden began to backpedal over the weekend and he was aided in that effort by ABC’s Good Morning America and NBC’s Sunday Today. Both used Biden’s “promise” to appoint former President Barack Obama to the Supreme Court as a smokescreen.
The Democratic Party and media crusade to impeach President Trump didn’t appear to be going well Sunday, as New Jersey Democratic Congressman Jeff Van Drew was set to vote against the Articles of Impeachment and become a Republican in the process. ABC’s Good Morning America and NBC’s Sunday Today spent some of their mornings trying to convince the public it was no big deal. Yet, part of the intent of the hearings was to peel Republicans away from Trump, which would’ve been celebrated.
On Saturday morning, ABC's Good Morning America and NBC's Today show both celebrated climate alarmists Leonardo DiCaprio and Greta Thunberg as a "dream team" as anchors gushed over reports that the two recently met and pledged to work together to promote their agenda.
The domestic terrorist organization known as Antifa carried out attacks at a “right-wing” rally in Portland, Oregon on Saturday by targeting peaceful rally goers, police, and members of the press. As the liberal media have done in the past, ABC’s Good Morning America and NBC’s Sunday Today, carried water for the extreme left-wing terrorists by downplaying their actions and by suggesting they’re simply “counter-protesters”.
In the wake of the El Paso and Dayton shootings, the Big Three (ABC, CBS, NBC) networks have exploited those tragedies to advance their anti-gun rights agenda. In just five days (August 4 through August 8) of coverage, the networks filled their morning show programs with statements favoring gun control over gun rights by a ratio of roughly 17 to 1.
It wasn’t 24-hours since the first of two tragic mass shootings on Saturday and ABC News was entrenched and spewing the liberal hate that demanded that President Trump be considered the cause of the violence. Suggesting it was “fair” to blame Trump for the shootings during Sunday’s Good Morning America, chief White House correspondent Jon Karl argued the shootings were “going to be something that he is going to have to answer for.”
Overnight, ABC News and The Washington Post released a poll that they probably didn’t want to see. According to their findings, President Trump’s job approval rating surged five points among “voting age Americans” to 44 percent since April, the highest their poll had ever uncovered. But, there was even better news for the President that went unreported during ABC’s Good Morning America on Sunday.
In a Saturday tweet from Japan, President Trump took a rhetorical swing at former Vice President Joe Biden when he suggested North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un called his 2020 rival “a low IQ individual”. The anti-Trump alarmists over at ABC did the only reasonable thing, to them, and decided that the President had taken the “side” of a “murderous dictator” over one of their presidential candidates.
At another Democratic Party gathering over the weekend, former Vice President Joe Biden had another slip of the tongue and possibly revealing his 2020 candidacy, saying he had “the most progressive record for anybody running [for president]." Of course, the liberals at ABC and NBC got excited and hyped it up during their Sunday morning news broadcasts.
After the testimony from convicted liar Michael Cohen before the House Oversight Committee last week, the liberal media were convinced he was the key for Democrats to bring down President Trump regardless of what the Special Counsel found. One of the biggest problems for Democrats, according to ABC host and Clinton lackey George Stephanopoulos on Good Morning America Sunday, was that Trump enjoyed ’90 percent’ approval from the GOP, who Stephy seemed to suggest were all hardliners.
