According to recent court filings, President Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen told federal prosecutors that he was directed by the then-candidate to pay hush money to two women to help sway the outcome of the 2016 election. Even though Cohen admitted he had previously lied under oath to Congress, ABC and NBC spent part of their Sunday morning news programs suggesting it was all over for the Trump administration.
The “first wave” of the long caravan of Central American migrants first arrived at the U.S./Mexico border on Wednesday and as CBS Evening News reported that evening, they were “straining the resources” Tijuana. It wasn’t until Sunday’s Good Morning America that ABC acknowledged the caravan’s arrival. And in doing so, they downplayed the pressure it was putting on the city and its overall effect, while whining about it having too much influence during the 2018 midterm elections.
With just two days to go until the polls closed on the midterm elections, Republicans were working hard to get out their base and liberal media were working hard to get out the Democratic Party’s base. During the Sunday edition of ABC’s Good Morning America, they touted President Trump’s job approval rating slipping to 40 percent. Despite that good news to them, co-anchor Dan Harris was seemingly dismayed as he turned to Clinton lackey George Stephanopoulos, asking: “why is this not a blowout?”
On Friday, far-left comedian Amy Schumer announced that the reason no one would be seeing her in Super Bowl ads next year was that she was boycotting on behalf of mediocre quarterback Colin Kaepernick. During Sunday’s Good Morning America, ABC’s liberal anchors celebrated Schumer’s decision and were interested in seeing if her “peer pressure” would cause a larger “celebrity boycott” of commercials and the halftime show.
At a recent campaign rally in Elko, Nevada, President Trump told the crowd that Democrats were “openly inviting millions of illegal aliens to break our laws, violate our borders and overwhelm our nation. The Democrats want caravans. They like the caravans.” On Sunday, the liberal journalists of ABC’s Good Morning America were irritated that Trump would call them out and claimed there was no proof of that and said the allegation was “unfounded”.
Monday morning ABC and CBS reported on the two women who cornered Republican Senator Jeff Flake on an elevator as he was going to the Judiciary Committee vote to confirm Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh. While CBS This Morning briefly mentioned one of these women, Ana Maria Archila, was a liberal activist, ABC’s Good Morning America completely avoided that fact. Both networks joined the rest of the media in hailing Archila as a “hero” and “survivor” instead of a partisan with a politically motivated agenda.
The FBI investigation into the sexual harassment allegations against Judge Brett Kavanaugh was only a couple days old and the liberal media already had the heavy equipment out to dig up the goalpost. Despite spending roughly a week comparing Kavanaugh’s confirmation to that of Justice Clarence Thomas and touting the speedy FBI investigation then, Sunday’s Good Morning America worried it was “overly restricted”. They were also eager to know what happens if Kavanaugh was the one caught lying.
Nightline host Dan Harris on Tuesday night pushed the “legendary” Bob Woodward to declare Donald Trump unfit for office, hyping his new book Fear. In the segment, Woodward decried the “war on truth” from the White House. This prompted the ABC anchor to push Woodward for even more. He wondered: “The truth, [Woodward] says, contained in what he hopes will be a historical document that allows Americans of all stripes to come to informed conclusions. In your view, is President Trump fit for office?”
On Friday and Saturday, former President Obama was on the campaign trail in blue districts trying to help Democrats take back the House in November by targeting the sitting president. As would be expected, the liberal media trumpeted their president’s return and on Sunday’s Good Morning America, ABC co-anchor Dan Harris described him as a genuine political threat to President Trump.
The freak out has begun. ABC News broke in on Wednesday with the announcement that Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy is retiring. Journalist Jon Karl fretted that a “hard-line” conservative will be coming. Dan Harris wondered if moderate Republicans might rise up to stop a new conservative nominee.
It appears as though, with the long-awaited release of the Department of Justice Inspector General’s report exposing anti-Trump bias by senior FBI investigators, Republican Congressional leadership was finally ready to call for an end to the Special Counsel’s investigation. After House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA) and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (KY) spoke out, ABC’s Good Morning America was fearful for the future of the investigation on Sunday morning.
During Sunday’s Good Morning America, ABC News’ cast of characters exposed just how politically petty they were when they actually complained about President Trump getting positive coverage when he brings American hostages home. Between Tara Palmieri’s sympathies for Venezuela in her report and Martha Raddatz’s huffing about Trump getting a “boost,” their reporting was downright obnoxious.
