Less than fifteen minutes into CNN's New Day Monday morning, co-host Chris Cuomo ripped the White House's gun policy proposal while acting as an advocate for gun control. Just minutes later, Cuomo and his fellow panelists criticized Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos's performance during a 60 Minutes Interview and seized the opportunity to bash the idea of school choice. 

During an appearance on CNN's New Day Thursday morning, Van Jones suggested that "if Barack Obama had done half of what Trump did last week, he wouldn't be impeached, he'd be in Guantanamo." 

CNN reporter Bill Weir appeared on New Day Thursday morning, ahead of the premiere of the network's documentary series, Pope: The Most Powerful Man in History. Weir had just compiled a report focusing on Pope Francis and Syrian refugees and, along with co-hosts Alisyn Camerota and Chris Cuomo, seemed to agree that the seriesprovided the perfect platform to advocate for open borders.

Figure skater Adam Rippon made an appearance on CNN’s New Day Wednesday morning. A political panel on CNN's New Day Tuesday morning took several shots at President Trump, referring to him as "erratic" and "impulsive", blaming him for the failure to broker a DACA deal, and criticizing his tweeting habits. 

While interviewing Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) Tuesday morning, New Day co-host Chris Cuomo slammed a proposal that would roll back some of the Dodd-Frank regulations passed in response to the 2008 financial crisis.  

Tuesday's edition of CNN's New Day featured a report very sympathetic to Texas Democratic Senate Candidate Beto O'Rourke, who hopes to unseat incumbent Republican Senator Ted Cruz during this year's midterm election.

CNN painted a favorable picture of the "Dreamers" as Monday marked the March 5th Deadline for Congress to enact President Obama's controversial executive order known as "DACA" into law before the program expired.

During an appearance on CNN's New Day Monday morning, counterterrorism analyst Richard Clarke argued that President Trump has not imposed sanctions on Russia in retaliation for their interference in the 2016 election because "he believes the Russian activity benefits him politically."

During an appearance on CNN's New Day Monday morning, panelist John Avlon said that President Trump's joke suggesting that he should try becoming President for life like China's Xi Jinping proved that he was "expressing admiration for an authoritarian."

During an appearance on the Thursday edition of CNN's New Day, former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci explained that President Trump still hopes to "drain the swamp" but that may be an impossible task because of its "immunological system" designed to "reject a disruptive move." Co-anchor Chris Cuomo responded by effectively comparing President Trump to a virus.  

The hosts of New Day actually praised President Trump Thursday morning, sounding very impressed that he seemed willing to “buck his own party on gun control.” It apparently doesn’t take that much for the media to say nice things about the President. All he has to do is start sounding like a Democrat.

During Tuesday's edition of New Day, co-host Chris Cuomo blasted Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle (R-GA) for saying "one of the most ridiculous things we've heard in a long time from a public official."
