NBC’s Today decided on Monday to further draw out the soap opera of now-ex-Congressman George Santos (R-NY) after he was overwhelmingly expelled Friday from Congress and use it as proof of “deep divisions within the GOP” and use it as a jumping off point to bash the impeachment inquiry of President Biden as a waste of time given there’s “no hard evidence” of malfeasance.

U.S. Senator Joe Manchin’s announcement today that he is not running for re-election sent shockwaves throughout the Acela Media, worried about the imperilment of both the Democrats’ Senate majority and the Biden presidency. But that panic was most palpable on ABC, which ran wild quotes against a Manchin run.

ABC, CBS, and NBC all covered Wednesday morning the bipartisan censure of far-left Congresswoman and Squad member Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) for her deep-seated hatred of Israel and anti-Semitic rhetoric, most recently posting a video with pro-Hamas supporters chanting “from the river to the sea.” 

The New York Times ran a story by Robert Jimison on Friday that was immensely sympathetic to the fiery progressives in Congress unable to make political progress against a “far right” that “wrought havoc”: “Left-Wing Freshmen in a Right-Led House.” The paper actually put an unflattering label on a Democrat (albeit with an “ultraconservative” to balance it out).
