When federal investigators raided the D.C. home of radical Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) over potential immigration fraud, the overarching media narrative matched the spin of Barack Obama: This is just Trump punishing a political opponent. That is not how journalists spun Team Biden authorizing a raid on Trump’s Florida home in 2023 over some classified documents.

Back then, when it was Trump, Ilhan Omar tweeted: "Our democracy rests on the rule of law. When someone—no matter how powerful they are—is suspected of a criminal act, our justice system investigates, charges, and convicts them in accordance with due process."

To discuss the Omar probe, we brought in Dan Schneider, vice president of MRC Free Speech America, and Benjamin Weingarten, a Newsmax contributor and author of the book American Ingrate: Ilhan Omar and the Progressive-Islamist Takeover of the Democratic Party.

In response to the Obama/media spin, Weingarten tweeted: “I make no predictions on how the current investigations will conclude, but the real scandal may ultimately be how all of Ilhan Omar’s alleged criminality, corruption, and enemy collusion was hiding in plain sight, and for years authorities refused to do anything about it and bring her to justice.”

There was nothing on the Sunday shows about Omar, even with the revelation they went through the trash bin looking for DNA evidence. You’d think they would fuss. There's been a lot of spin about the timing, but Omar is in no electoral danger. One could argue it could have an effect on the statewide races in Minnesota, with Somali fraudsters in the spotlight.

MS NOW called the probe “unprecedented and insane,” and Miles Taylor claimed “this is not the type of thing that, a tiny paperwork error can lead you to be denaturalized.” Every Democrat scandal is a nothingburger on Democrat-pleasing cable networks.

Hasan Piker is coming to an Omar event in Minnesota. The Minnesota Star Tribune headlined: “Left-wing influencer Hasan Piker to join Ilhan Omar, Omar Fateh at Minnesota event.” This is how you know someone is a Marxist. They call them “left wing.” Piker just talked to Joy Reid and suggested the Republican Party "hires every Klansman and every Groyper, the same Republican Party that's staffed almost entirely by neo-Nazi anti-Semites."

Piker's best known for appearing with Michigan Democrat Senate candidate Abdul el-Sayed. On Sunday, CNN host Dana Bash went after his GOP opponent Mike Rogers: "The president is effectively calling your opponent a terrorist. You're a former special agent with the FBI, former Intelligence chair in the House. Are you comfortable with that?” Bash thought that was the issue, not those tweets from his sister. CNN’s funny because they were much tougher on Abdul before he won the primary.
