Meet the Press anchor Chuck Todd was highly disturbed on Wednesday when word came down that Anthony Kennedy is retiring from the Supreme Court. In a series of tweets, he fretted that “our politics” can’t handle this and that “summer is going to suck.”
Echoing the on-air freak out of his colleague Chris Matthews, Todd insisted America wasn’t able to handle this vacancy:
The NBC anchor then whined about how this will impact his summer:
Todd dismissed the idea that this is a midterm election year not a presidential election. He deemed confirming a justice now to be an “insult to voters.”
Perhaps lobbying liberal Democrats to rally, the Meet the Press anchor called this a “Dem WH primary litmus test.”
If the reaction by journalists is any indication, a full-on liberal freak out is under way.
