Fans of the Second Amendment will have to deal with one less anti-gun host on MSNBC: Alex Wagner. The journalist is leaving the network and moving to The Atlantic, the magazine announced on Tuesday. According to Politico, “Wagner will not just be writing for the outlet, she will also play a major role in its live events and video projects.” Her daily show on MSNBC was cancelled last year.

Though liberals are common at the network, Wagner stood out for her extremism. On November 4, 2011, she declared, “I think get rid of the second Amendment, the right to bear arms. I just think in the grand scheme of the rights that we have; the right of assembly, free speech, I mean, owning a gun does not, it does not tally on the same level as those other Constitutional rights.”

On February 14, 2013, Wagner smeared the NRA as “racist” and said that the organization’s President, Wayne LaPierre, is afraid of “dark people.”

The host wasn’t just liberal on guns. In 2015, she also bashed Carly Fiorina’s voters as “xenophobic” and “nativist.”

In the Politico article, writer Alex Weprin noted that after her show. Now With Alex Wagner, was cancelled, she “was at the time promised a weekend program. That weekend show never came to fruition.”

What a shame.
