Dem Rep: Walker Wants to 'Tighten the Noose' on Black People? Nets Yawn

According to a new report by the Media Research Center, the three networks are minimizing every Republican presidential candidate not named Donald Trump. In addition to ignoring policy proposals from Republicans such as Scott Walker, ABC, NBC and CBS are avoiding raising any questions about extremely harsh attacks.

Congresswoman Gwen Moore of Wisconsin said this of Walker on Monday: "[Walker was] literally campaigning around the state, saying you don't want to be like Milwaukee, while at the same time really tightening the noose, literally, around African-Americans." Literally tightening the noose around African Americans? Silence from the networks.

When a Wisconsin environmental group posted a picture (see above) of a decapitated Walker, there was similar silence. Imagine the (rightful) outcry if some conservative group had done that to Obama.

On Tuesday, Rich Noyes noted how the non-Trump candidates are being marginalized by the media:

Two weeks after the first GOP presidential debate of Campaign ’16, the broadcast networks continue to obsess over Donald Trump to the near-exclusion of the other sixteen Republican presidential candidates.

An MRC analysis of the ABC, CBS and NBC evening news broadcasts during the two weeks prior to the August 6 debate (including weekends) found Trump accounted for 55% of all GOP candidate airtime. After the debate, Trump’s share of the coverage rose even higher, to an astonishing 72% of all GOP airtime.
