Manic Ed Schultz Has His Dean Scream Moment on the Greatness of ObamaCare: 'Yeah!'

November 14th, 2013 5:49 PM

An extremely emotional Ed Schultz on Thursday offered up his own version of the famous scream by former Democratic Governor Howard Dean. The agitated host alternated between disparaging Barack Obama for seeming to retreat on the health care law and praising the President. After lecturing the Commander in Chief, Schultz played a clip of him defending ObamaCare. The anchor then screamed, "Yeah!"

Schultz wondered aloud, "Am I asking too much as an Obama supporter to want that?" The liberal host then mocked Obama's performance at a news conference as " Well, we haven't been very good. I'm not happy." An increasingly manic Schultz began shrieking, "...The next time you go into the press room in Washington, you give it to them! You let them have it! This is good! This is great for America!" [See video below. MP3 audio here.]

Describing the press corps as somehow hostile to the President, he continued, "This isn't about appeasing a bunch of negative nellies sitting in the room that want to see you fail!"

According to Schultz, the only response to the myriad of ObamaCare problems is to lecture Americans: "Here is how you talk about it. This is wonderful social change for America. This is going to make us a healthier society."

On Wednesday, Schultz actually justified the President lying to Americans about the health care law.

A partial transcript of the October 14 Ed Show segment, which aired at 5:04pm ET, is below:

ED SCHULTZ: Minutia, minutia, minutia. Who is going to understand that? I have come to the conclusion the administration and a lot of Democrats just don't know how to talk about this. Here is how you talk about it. This is wonderful social change for America. This is going to make us a healthier society.

....

BARACK OBAMA: We will fix what needs to be fixed but we are going to make the affordable care act work and those who say they are opposed to it and can't offer a solution, we will push back.

ED SCHULTZ: Yeah! That's what I wanted in Washington today! Am I asking too much as an Obama supporter to want that? "We are going to fix it. We are going to get it done. I'm going to see this thing through." No. In Washington, we got -- "well, we fumbled. Well, we haven't been very good. I'm not happy." Mr. President, respectfully, the next time you go into the press room in Washington, you give it to them! You let them have it! This is good! This is great for America! This isn't about appeasing a bunch of negative nellies sitting in the room that want to see you fail! I know -- look. I've been in front of crowds and I know that they can energize you, but you got to believe in all facets that this is going to happen and we are going to see this thing through!
