WaPo Furthers Liberal Media’s ‘Racist’ Narrative at RNC: ‘Republican Party is White, Aging, & Dying Off’

The liberal media can’t seem to help themselves. While counter-arguments are occasionally acknowledged, most journalists of the progressive persuasion are not interested in fair and balanced coverage of politics. Facts and figures are seemingly subjective in the whole scheme of things. Severely limited studies and polls seem to provide them with all the information they need. Oh, and almost everything is racist.

The Washington Post has been one of most reliable offenders, as far as daily publications are concerned. For example, Rosalind Helderman, Jon Cohen and Aaron Blake collaborated on a report that was published today suggesting the “Republican Party base is white, aging and dying off.” This is according to an “extensive analysis" by David Bositis of the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies.

It doesn’t seem to matter that the speaker lineup in Tampa has included the likes of Artur Davis, Marco Rubio, Mia Love, Condoleezza Rice, Susana Martinez, Luis Fortuno, Ted Cruz and Nimrata “Nikki” Haley (née Randhawa). Herman Cain's rise during primary season bears no significance either.

Helderman, Cohen and Blake made a big deal about the scarcity of black delegates and officials. This is due in large part to the “special relationship” the president has with African American voters apparently. Over 90 percent of the demographic voted for him in 2008.

Former congressman Davis, a newly-minted Republican from Alabama, had his own stance on the subject. “It’s going to take being willing to define conservatism as not just a defense of economic liberty, but as a broader way of constructing a society that can promote social mobility,” he said. This was in reference to the widespread dependency in these communities.

The voting disconnect with other minorities like Hispanics, was brought up too. Almost 75 percent of them voted for Obama in 2008, but there was no mention of the relative newcomers Rubio, Cruz, or Gov. Martinez. All up and coming conservative politicians with a Latino heritage.

The ‘mounting evidence’ of racism at the convention itself was best exemplified by a couple attendees who threw peanuts at a black CNN camerawoman. “This is how we feed animals,” they said. RNC officials swiftly booted the offenders from the convention, as well they should have. No other similar incident has been reported.

Meanwhile, the Democratic Party is poised to break its own record next week in Charlotte. According to a Washington Blade report, an estimated 518 LGBT delegates and officials are expected to be at the convention next week (including at least one transsexual).

Their committee cares so much about diversity in fact, that it created a highly-paid position last year which is completely focused on the subject. Chief Diversity Officer Greg Hinton’s primary responsibility is to “ensure that there is diversity across the party’s key organizations in hiring and contract work.”

What they call "diversity" is more like top-down number-padding, rather than something organic and voluntary that comes from the grassroots up.
