CNN's Bourdain Primetime Mother’s Day: Two F-Bombs, an A—hole and ‘Boner’ References

Anthony Bourdain on Mother’s Day continued his string of vulgar shows featured in primetime on CNN.

This Sunday’s Parts Unknown included two censored F-bombs, an a—hole, and erection references (video follows with transcribed lowlights and commentary):

The first offensive offering came nine minutes in when Bourdain said, “The backroom of the place is dedicated to sorting and drying various herbs which he blends into a secret mix he claims has all sorts of healthful and boner inspiring benefits. Look, if every dish I’ve been told over the years is going to make me strong worked, I’d have a permanent pup tent going on down there.”

I wonder how many mothers around America gathered with their families had to explain what that meant.

A bit later, Bourdain said, “You can well imagine the American guy who’s lived in Tangier for 30 years, okay. He comes in and there’s a flat screen TV on the wall. He’s like, ‘What the f—k?!?'”

Of course, the vulgarity was censored, but it was obvious what he said.

He continued, “The Moroccan guy at the next table, he’s saying, ‘Wait a minute, wait a minute, a—hole, you have a flat screen TV at home. I want one too.”

As the show neared its conclusion, Bourdain said, “They come, well like we come: we embrace it, other people want to come, and then we f—k it all up.”

As before, the vulgarity was censored, but it’s clear what he said.

I once again feel the need to ask: is this really what the so-called most trusted name in news wants, particularly in primetime?
