George Lopez: Latinos Will Move Back To Mexico If Palin Becomes President

April 15th, 2010 3:06 PM

George Lopez thinks if Sarah Palin becomes President in 2012, Latinos will all move back to Mexico.

So said the comedian on "Larry King Live" Tuesday night.

He also went after Fox News and Glenn Beck.

Not surprisingly, this was all prompted by the host actually asking Lopez for his opinion about the former Alaska governor (video follows with transcript and commentary, h/t HotAirPundit):

LARRY KING, HOST: What about Sarah Palin? Reports are that she has made apparently 12 million dollars in the last year.

GEORGE LOPEZ: Well, those are Alaskan dollars. The -- here is the beauty of Sarah Palin, with her at Fox News, she's not the craziest person at Fox News anymore. There's something to be said for that.

KING: That's a good way to look at it.

LOPEZ: She makes Glenn Beck --

KING: She what?

LOPEZ: She makes Glenn Beck look significantly abnormal.

KING: George has had a lot to say about Tiger Woods on this show. Hold on. What do you want to say?

LOPEZ: Let me say this. Everyone is trying to build a wall. They don't know what the answer to immigration. I will give you the answer, Larry King, to immigration. If Sarah Palin wins and runs for president in 2012, I have a, on a reliable source, as the head of all the Latinos, we will voluntarily go back to Mexico if she becomes President of the United States. There it is.

Anybody remember folks like Alec Baldwin promising to leave the country if George W. Bush won in 2000?

Care to wager that Lopez will similarly go back on this pledge if Palin actually did become President in 2012?
