Cupp Wrecks ‘Myopic Self-Centered’ Hillary for Smearing Trump Supporters

Across the globe in India this past weekend, failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton targeted rural Trump voters with yet another stream of hatred. She smeared them as depressed, backward, and white in an ignorant tirade before a foreign crowd. But on the Tuesday installment of HLN’s Unfiltered, host S.E. Cupp unloaded on Clinton and called her out for being a “myopic self-centered self-righteous unaccountable and unrelatable political creature.”

I won the places that are optimistic, diverse, dynamic, moving forward and his whole campaign, make America great again, was looking backward,” Clinton chided over the weekend. “You know, you didn't like black people getting rights. You don't like women getting jobs. You don't want to see that Indian American succeeding more than you are.

Cupp began her takedown by pointing out that Clinton was “one of those people” that just never get it, “and what she just said is among the many reasons why she wasn't elected.”

After playing a clip of Clinton’s attack, Cupp expertly broke down what the former Secretary of State actually said. “She won the coasts, which is, you know, better than all those backward, in-between states,” she said pointing to Clinton’s elitist base and disturbing lack of empathy for working families. “She won places that are optimistic, which is, you know, better than places that have been struggling for decades.”

“Listen, the idea that anyone who voted for Trump doesn't think black people should have rights, women should work, or Indian Americans shouldn’t succeed is flat-out disgusting,” Cupp scolded Clinton. She also called out the hypocrites who lambast President Trump for being divisive but ignore Clinton’s rhetoric. “And worse it’s calculated. Unlike Trump. she's actually thought about this stuff before it spills out of her mouth,” she exclaimed.

“I didn't vote for either of these clowns,” Cupp declared. But she thanked God that Clinton wasn’t elected president “because there is no more myopic self-centered self-righteous unaccountable and unrelatable political creature than Hillary Clinton.”

A little later, Cupp brought on her panel to discuss the ridiculousness of Clinton’s irrational lashings out:

Well, Hillary is as out of touch as ever. The former presidential nominee has never been able to hide her disdain for middle America. She once again suggested that Trump supporters are racist misogynist backward xenophobes over the weekend. And it's been 490 days since she lost the 2016 election.

The HLN host noted that Clinton had the opportunity to ride off into the sunset as a Democratic Party elder but seems to have chosen to become a liability instead. “Her comments are so stupid, they're smart. And I agree with you, I don't think she cares about the party,” argued the Washington Examiner's T. Becket Adams. “In fact, she has come out before and blamed the DNC for her loss. She has blamed everyone for her loss. I think she’s at this where it’s almost bulwark.”

The conservative panel had loads of fun taking jabs and mocking Clinton, but Cupp said it best when she quoted American poet Maya Angelou: “‘When someone reveals who they are, you believe them the first time.’ Plenty of us did. Many more should now.”

S.E. CUPP: Some people never learn. Hillary Clinton is one of those people. Her never-ending tour to explain what happened in 2016 is unfortunately not quite over yet. And what she just said is among the many reasons why she wasn't elected. Here's the former presidential nominee defending her loss to Donald Trump in India over the weekend.

HILLARY CLINTON: Now, I win the coasts. I win Illinois and Minnesota, places like that. I won the places that are optimistic, diverse, dynamic, moving forward and his whole campaign, make America great again, was looking backwards. You know, you didn't like black people getting rights. You don't like women getting jobs. You don't want to see that Indian American succeeding more than you are. Whatever your problem is, I'm going to solve it.

CUPP: So unpacking that, she won the coasts, which is, you know, better than all those backwards, in between states. She won places that are diverse, which is, you know, better than places that weren't. She won places that are optimistic, which is, you know, better than places that have been struggling for decades. Got it. I'm sure Republicans are hoping Democrats frame the 2020 election just like that.

Listen, the idea that anyone who voted for Trump doesn't think black people should have rights, women should work or Indian Americans should succeed is flat-out disgusting. And for everyone who rightly criticizes Trump for divisive rhetoric and us-versus-them politics, this is as divisive as it gets. And worse it’s calculated. Unlike Trump. she's actually thought about this stuff before it spills out of her mouth.

So look, I'm no fan of everything Donald Trump says, does, or believes in. Everyone knows that. I didn't vote for either of these clowns. But thank God that lady is not our president because there is no more myopic self-centered self-righteous unaccountable and unrelatable political creature than Hillary Clinton. As Maya Angelou said, “when someone reveals who they are, you believe them the first time.” Plenty of us did. Many more should now.

She once again suggested that Trump supporters are racist misogynist backwards xenophobes over the weekend. And it's been 490 days since she lost the 2016 election. But instead of bowing out gracefully or becoming a celebrated party elder, she seems pretty content being a political liability.

Why does she keep doing this? It's not like she's unaware of the tsunami of criticism she gets when she goes out and complains about why she lost or blames other people or criticizes voters. Why does she keep going back to this well, Chris?

CUPP: If I am a Democrat up for re-election in the middle of the country, I would rather Trump campaign for me than Hillary Clinton.

T. BECKET ADAMS: Her comments are so stupid, they're smart. And I agree with you, I don't think she cares about the party. In fact, she has come out before and blamed the DNC for her loss. She has blamed everyone for her loss. I think she’s at this where it’s almost bulwark. She's not going to run again. She doesn't care. She will speak her mind and appealing specifically to a rather wealthy demographic that agrees with her.
