MSNBC Primetime Now Indistinguishable From Biden Campaign Rally, Political Donation

July 21st, 2020 8:34 PM

MSNBC’s priorities were very clear last night on the first episode of The ReidOut: campaign for a Joe Biden presidency. The new primetime host Joy Reid, brought on veteran MSNBC leftist host Lawrence O’Donnell to praise Biden and attack Donald Trump.

Reid detailed that Biden shaking his finger was the key to solving the United States’ conflicts with Russia:

REID: Yeah. One of the things that, you know, former Vice President Biden said is he sort of shook his finger right at Russia and said, your, be warned, and he was pretty tough about that. Do you think that Russia will be restrained by that kind of a warning knowing that if he wins there might be hell to pay?

O’DONNELL: Yeah. Russia understands what it's like to have a real American president and to have somebody who is actually going to push back and cause Russia problems. If Russia causes this country’s problems and they know that's who Joe Biden is.

The far-left hosts completely ignored that the alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election took place under Biden’s watch, not Trump’s. Although, for them, Biden shaking his finger meant that he won’t let Russia take advantage of him again. The Obama administration failed at securing the 2016 election, which is evidence to Biden’s true lack of ability to push back against Russia. When the Russian interference came to haunt the Obama administration, because their candidate lost, Biden gave the final okay to unmask General Flynn, which started the three year long witch hunt against Trump.

Reid and O’Donnell also commended Biden’s cognitive abilities, while also claiming that Trump is not mentally fit to hold office:

REID: You know, Secretary Clinton also, she did say that it does make sense to maybe question Donald Trump's cognitive abilities the way he has been questioning Joe Biden's. Joe Biden's seem perfectly lucid to me. But, what do you make of that, that now the questions are turning back on him?

O’DONNELL: Well, the question has been on him for a while…So, before you get into any kind of cognitive decline from Alzheimer's like his father had, or something like that, you have something much more troubling with Donald Trump at any age his life, and Mary Trump now has helped with that diagnosis.

O’Donnell has become obsessed with Trump’s mental health, and has been constantly pushing the conspiracy theory that the President is a sociopath, among other mental illnesses. The fact that Reid and O’Donnell just glossed over Biden’s obvious cognitive decline is sickening. There has been a growing amount of American’s that have been worried about Biden’s mental capabilities, and the leftists at MSNBC just brushed the American people’s concerns, including twenty percent of Democrats, under the rug.

MSNBC primetime and a Biden campaign rally have become indistinguishable. The ReidOut was reported to be a news program, but based on the first episode it was nothing more than propaganda for a Biden presidency.

JOY REID: The danger comes from the creep of autocracy in America. In another era, the notion of federal troops headed to American cities triggered relief in the hearts of Americans who are struggling to exercise their right to vote or go to school or go to college, but today it invokes something very different, violence, horror and the fear that our democracy is slipping opportunity versus danger, the central conflict of our time that's what we will be covering on The ReidOut night after night. And tonight, to close out my first show I'm so happy to be joined by my friend and colleague Lawrence O'Donnell, host of The Last Word. Lawrence, thank you so much for being here I really appreciate you being here. Give me your summation of, you know, where we stand right now do you feel more opportunity or more chaos ahead?

LAWRENCE O’DONNELL:  Well, look, looking at the polls that show Joe Biden with as much as a 15-point lead, the low end of that is the 10-point lead in the polls, that says to us that Trumpism ends on election night. That says to us that we are going to be in a new world next year, if those poll numbers hold. And so, the poll numbers are the reason for optimism tonight. We are going to have to get through an awful lot of grim days and nights in between then as we're seeing Portland tonight.

REID: Yeah.

O’DONNELL: I was also struck, Joy, by how plainly he spoke about Donald Trump by saying Donald Trump doesn't care and saying it repeatedly. Saying Donald Trump doesn't care about people dying from this, and the idea that you could say that about a President of the United States and a majority of the audience would nod in agreement that that's correct, the President doesn't care about this is a very, very powerful statement by Joe Biden, and he's the last guy to say that kind of thing wildly it is just conventional wisdom now that Donald Trump doesn't care.

O’DONNELL: Well, the question has been on him for a while, I mean in the second year of his presidency, I guess it was, or maybe toward the end of the first year, we had those 27 psychiatrists get together and put out a book called "The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump." And they were warning, they were giving us their duty to warn, about what they we reading as the mental health of this person.

So, before you get into any kind of cognitive decline from Alzheimer's like his father had, or something like that, you have something much more troubling with Donald Trump at any age his life, and Mary Trump now has helped with that diagnosis. And it’s obviously a very grave thing, and the more Donald Trump wants to concentrate on that aspect, the better it is for Joe Biden who by the way, Joy, Joe Biden was my very first guest on my very first show ten years ago. So a Joe Biden launch pretty much gives you a ten-year run.

REID: Last question before I let you go. You know, the question of a black woman VP has been rolling around my circles a lot. What did you make of Joe Biden's answer on that?

O’DONNELL: Man you brought him, I mean you really closed in on him on that Joy, you didn’t give him any room. And he made it very clear there’s at least four black women who are very serious candidates for vice president right now.

REID: Yeah.

O’DONNELL: And you know the maximum list is maybe about six people. So I think the odds are now very likely.

REID: Yeah.

O’DONNELL: That there will be a black woman vice presidential nominee. That's probably the likelihood at this point.
