Hollywood liberal Joss Whedon is so angry at Trump that nothing else matters, even his own family. On Sunday, Whedon used Mother’s Day to make an anti-Trump statement, admitting that Donald Trump’s presidency was more upsetting to him than his mother being gone.

The Avengers director tweeted this sentimental note to his mother, thanking her for being dead because she wouldn’t have to live under Trump’s presidency:

“Today I gratefully give my mother the gift of having been dead for 25 years and not having to see what a tub of fuckery our country’s become.”

Whedon has gone on plenty of anti-Trump rages before. Shortly after Trump won the election, Whedon threatened that Trump “must not be allowed” to take office. He has called Trump voters “obnoxious” and “uncaring” (which, ironically, many would assume Whedon is from his own tweets,) mocked childhood cancer survivors as being scouted to become Trump's next wife, and claimed that Trump would start killing gay people, among many other obnoxious tweets.
