CBS Bashes Bush through Controversial Children’s Show

On last night’s episode of Kid Nation, each of the four districts had to chronologically assemble photographs of seven U.S. Presidents. The winning team would become the ‘Upperclass.’  The yellow team won, mainly because of team member Zach.  His fellow teammate Kelsey seemed to resent his success.  Transcript below:

Kelsey:  “We won with the help of Zach but just because he knows his Presidents doesn't mean he’s the best leader. I mean, look at George W. Bush.  He’s not smart at all but he won the U.S. President two times in a row.”

Kelsey,  when asked in a questionnaire who the worst President in U.S. history was, said the following:

"In my personal opinion, one of the worst U.S presidents could be George W. Bush because he has the craziest ideas for the country that could lead us into danger. For example, he started the unnecessary war with the country of Iraq which killed many U.S. soldiers.”

In an exercise that covered many U.S. Presidents, it’s interesting that CBS only aired this editorial comment.  It will be entertaining to watch and see if CBS includes opinions from some of the more conservative children.  Next weeks’ episode discusses an ‘environmental crisis.’
