Tucker Carlson's Show Signs Million Dollar Deal With Anti-Woke Company

CNBC reported late Sunday night that former Fox News host Tucker Carlson landed his first big advertiser for his new Twitter show. This news comes on the heels of a report from the Wall Street Journal that Carlson and his fellow Daily Caller co-founder Neil Patel are fundraising to start a multimillion-dollar media company to host Carlson’s long-form programs.

“Carlson agreed to a seven-figure advertising deal with Public Square (PublicSq.), a shopping app that promotes itself as being the “starting point” for conservatives to battle environmental, social, and governance policies, according to people familiar with the matter,” according to CNBC

As NewsBusters previously reported, Carlson had frequently posted videos to Twitter that Carlson has branded as “Tucker on Twitter”, and have mostly included his trademark monologues as well as interviews with newsmakers. Most recently social media influencer Andrew Tate, who has been accused of human trafficking by the Romanian government. The Twitter videos have each received tens of millions of views on the platform.

They have also caused Fox News to send a cease and desist letter for Carlson to stop posting to Twitter since he is still under contract from the network until December 31, 2024, according to Axios. In response, a spokesperson from Carlson’s team insisted “Tucker will not be silenced by anyone.”

Further illustrating his influence on Republican politics and the conservative movement more broadly, Carlson recently moderated the 2024 Family Leadership Summit in Iowa where he interviewed six of the presidential candidates including former Vice President Mike Pence, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.

CNBC reported, “The Public Square ads are expected to start appearing on Carlson’s show in late August.”
